What would be really interesting is a table/graph that shows 'country population density' vs 'infrastructure provision'. So, for example, does a country that is twice as densely populated as another have twice as many schools, hospitals, doctors, etc

Fair point, but he'll also be wary about the consequences of picking up a significant injury in the lead up to any impending deal so, subconsciously at least, he may think twice (more so than usual) about going in for a 50/50 tackle (for example). Fine margins and all that. Probably over-analysis on my part but that hasn't stopped me thinking out loud on an internet football forum before
