How else do you try and kick a ball without the follow-through resulting in your foot being in the air...?
-
From watching that, Barnes clearly went to clear the ball and Matic then planted his leg where Barnes' natural follow through ended up. OK, so Barnes fluffed the clearance but there was no intentional dangerous play there IMO.

I suspect Koeman is concerned that a negative atmosphere in the crowd (aimed at Lallana and co) could inadvertantly affect the concentration and focus of our own players, so my hunch is that this interview with Schneiderlin is a proactive and deliberate attempt to pour water on the flames. The fact they've used Morgan to get this message across is quite deliberate IMO as they are highlighting how the fans have treated one 'want away' player favourably (i.e. Morgan was worried he was going to be booed at the opening game of the season) compared to another player (Lallana) who will get a load of flak on Sunday. A very calculated interview and a good move by the club IMO as any sustained abuse hurled at Lallana could easily be counterproductive. Just a hunch.

Erm..... I may be missing something obvious here but, if it's "his money" (that the Trust were "looking after" for him) then why on Earth would he need to pay it back? Furthermore, did the case ever go to court in the end? I don't recall reading any more about it after the "fighting fund" stories.

NagoyaPompey @Nagoyapompey7 @colinfarmery any comment about why Micah hall has to pay back 3000 to the PST, and who decided to give it to him in the 1st place? Colin Farmery @colinfarmery @Nagoyapompey7 There's been more than enough comment on this matter already. It is a matter for the respective parties, both of whom I trust NagoyaPompey @Nagoyapompey7 @colinfarmery really? By whom? All I saw was one sentence in the news. Colin Farmery @colinfarmery @Nagoyapompey7 If you haven't seen it you're probably fortunate. It's between Mike and PST and they are both acting in good faith I think.

Liverpool's odds appear to be drifting slightly, now 2-1 or there abouts. Might be time for a quick 'blow softening' bet... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/southampton-v-liverpool/winner

To be fair (briefly), he would have been under orders from his superiors to come up with a provocative "Saints vs ex-Saints" headline. 10/10 for effort.
-
On a completely unrelated matter, I wonder why Mr Hall got so irate on Twitter when Ashley Brown was removed as Pompey Trust chairman in December? Micah Hall @blueballoo2000 Dec 30 Disgraceful and idiotic decision to remove @AshBeen23 as chairman of @PompeyTrust - jealous mediocrities abound.

Was the Sky reporter Fraser Dainton?

So, with Long and Schneiderlin looking likely to make a return to the squad, the starting line-up is possibly shaping up thus (bit of a toss up between Elia and Đuričić for me).... Forster Clyne - Fonte - Yoshida - Targett Schneiderlin - Wanyama Mane - Davis - Elia/Đuričić Pelle Subs: K.Davis, Gardos, Reed, JWP, Tadić, Elia/Đuričić, Long Probably the strongest looking bench of the season thus far?
-
I wouldn't say he was 'wound up' per se, just a bit irritated at the leading questions
-
Not really. Just Koeman and Sibley getting annoyed at the journo (Frazer someone?) banging on about Lallana and Lovren, trying to get a headline out of Koeman (which is his job I suppose).
