Here is another shocker... Charlie Brooker used to write reviews for PC Zone. Someone has got a Brooker review from 1998 for this terrible game and made a video of the review using footage of the game and the video maker reads Brooker's words.)

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Matthew Le God replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Only if no players are sold and everyone currently at the club is registered. You forget players can be sold and also players can not be registered. Freeing up space for more signings. -
They made changes to the rules at their meeting in Malta a few weeks ago. That could leave Pompey screwed. Have they been keeping up to date with this? I doubt it as it took an administrator months to work out the debt so they didn't submit any accurate financial reports to the Footballing authorities.

I don't know. But I can't see why it would be lifted before the 28 days ends. Otherwise if the CVA did collapse and they have signed players and offered people like David James a contract it is even more of a mess. The Football League if it has any sense would wait until 15th July 2010. Does anyone know what happens in this regard?
-
Yep, has to be signed off by the court after the 28 day cooling off period has elapsed without an appeal. I would think the transfer embargo must also have to remain in place in case the CVA collapses. So no new players or offers to out of contract players until 15th July.

Lots more redundancies. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Pompey-to-talk-with-foreign.6371400.jp Feel sorry for them if they lose their livelihoods(some been working for Pompey for 17 years) just to pay the wages of Marlon Harewood.

An interesting read, mentions both James Ward-Prowse and Jake Sinclair. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1840272,00.html

It is is just a tick he has.

11 minute video of the Steve Cotterill press conference... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/New-Pompey-boss-Steve-Cotterill.6371325.jp (the paper needs to get a better camera) Strange he was given a three year deal and not a rolling contract or one/two year deal. A new owner might come in and decide they don't want Cotterill and have to pay him off. Also if the CVA appeal goes through they are also stuck with Cotterill on a 3 year deal.

3 minute interview with AA... http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16428,00.html

That is extremely difficult to do in the football world. Word quickly gets out and also other clubs see him when they play Saints.
-
I think he will still be too young to be included. Needs to be 16 and he is 15.
-
He'll have a long wait if he doesn't sell the club. The payments of parachute money goto football creditors until they are paid off.
-
Impressive he is being called up to play up an age group at international level.
-
If they have done a deal why have they said today they are "considering their position"? If a deal had been done it would be over today and there would be nothing to consider. Thus no deal.
-
I think we should petition the club to ban them. Some are bound to find their way in next season.
-
Tony Husband on BBC South Today just said that someone from HMRC during the meeting asked in front of everyone why their debt was reduced in voting rights AA refused to comment. Very strange not to do so if he has a valid reason that he is comfortable about. Why not just say in front of everyone at the meeting?
-
Someone could have a lot of fun with that and photoshop. You could have a competition.
-
I'd rest at most three players for the Bournemouth cup game. Maybe give Bialkowski a game and try a different partner from the first League game (Barnard or Connolly) with Lambert and a different winger on one of the flanks. Important the team get used to playing with each other and winning together so you don't want to disrupt it too much.
-
Surely they can't sign new players, offer existing players contracts or appoint a manager during the 28 cooling off period? So the transfer embargo can't be lifted on 1st July. Would have to wait until cooling off period has expired without incident on 15th July.
-
Did you think that with Leeds? HMRC waited until the last possible moment of the 28 day cooling off period and the CVA collapsed even though Leeds got 75.4%. Looks like nickh is coming around to the other side now after HMRC's response in the Guardian...
-
By no means over! Response from HMRC... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jun/17/portsmouth-exit-administration-cva

The meeting starts at 11am at Fratton Park according to the CVA document all creditors recieved. As for when we'll hear anything, no one really knows as it depends what happens.
-
No they don't.
