At no point in that article or any other article about the development side did it make any mention of "high profile European trips". You have made that up!
Probably just using the term in the same way the Olympics football is an under 23 competition, but allows a few over 23. Would be simpler if they did just always call it the development squad.
Every game they announce the subs and have the pictures on the screen. You just need to get into the stadium earlier to hear it!
When they go through the lineups closer to kick off time they just do the starting eleven players.

I'm sure there have been plenty of Republic of Ireland players in cup finals since partition 1922 and since the question asks for just those at Wembley (which was built in time for the 1923 Cup Final).
If they want to save money then Ritchie would play in the 1st team and they wouldn't sign Liam Lawerence. SC keeps complaining about only having 3 or 4 on the bench yet they do this. They could also call up youth team players to make up the numbers on the bench. Instead they use it to play the sympathy card and with some areas of the media it seems to work for them.
They have loaned Matt Ritchie to Swindon Town today. Can't really complain about a small squad and 3 or 4 players on the bench if they do things like this.
Does anyone know what it would be, the gate, opponent, the date of game, score and can they provide the source they used (book, website etc)?
Figure to beat...
March 30th, 1936, Division Two game vs Port Vale at the Dell attendance = 1,875
The problem isn't just that Lambert isn't scoring. He got two yesterday. The problem is the rest of his game has been poor all season in comparison to last season. Against Bournemouth he lacked movement, his touch let him down, he mislaid a lot of passes, he lost a lot of balls in the air etc etc. A shadow of the player he was last season.
Saint's holding company was created 7 years before the Football League's insolvency rules were written. You aren't trying to exploit a loophole if the rules the loophole are in, are 7 years in the future.
Saints actually had 9 points in the first 10 games in 2009/10
