This guy thinks he is voice of the people aswell... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4312372.SISA_chairman_tells_Saints_players__you_owe_the_fans_big_time/ The Echo like to give him an outlet for his views and use him as the basis for entire articles, not just the odd quote.

So are you suggesting Lallana should be dropped?

1) How many "active" members does the Saints trust claim to have? 2) How many elected officials does the Saints Trust have? 3) What makes them think they are the "voice of the fans" and are of significant importance to demand a meeting with Cortese? 4) Why does the Daily Echo persist in giving them an outlet to express their views and use them as a focal point for entire stories?

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

It is quite clearly explained in the statement on the Football League website and the BBC website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8729294.stm http://www.football-league.co.uk/latestnews/20100608/football-league-agm-report_2245681_2066602 -
Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

When it says homegrown it means registered as a player for 3 seasons at any club in the country under the age of 21. It doesn't mean they have to be English, nor does it mean they have to have been at your club before 21 for three years. The only players that don't count as homegrown in the current Saints squad are... Jose Fonte Radhi Jaidi Morgan Schneiderlin (although he will become homegrown this season as it is his 3rd season and he is under 21 years old) Therefore Saints comply with the rules extremely easily. As will basically every club unless they have more than 15 players that weren't at English club for 3 years between 16 and 21. I very much doubt this rule will effect anyone in the Football League. -
It is impossible to tell if he is ever serious or not.
-
It is free. Why are you complaining? They could have quite easily just got rid of it. Yes, it saves them money disposing some of it, but it is also a nice gesture.

Ever wondered what 60 tonnes of soil looks like?

Maybe the delay is due to a lack of Saints for Rickie Lambert to stand next to. Look what the Umbro/Swansea marketing team came up with.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-will-not-be-docked.6349310.jp I really don't understand why they have run this story. It is not new "news". It just means they can't get a deduction for going into admin when they already are. It still however states they can get a points deduction in 2010/11. Yet all the comments from Pompey fans have ignored this.

That could mean anything! A few hours time or days!

It is not AA's job to ensure the club remain competitive in the Championship. It is his job to get the best deal for the creditors. If the money they could be getting goes towards giving players £500k p/a then something is wrong. Hence why Griffins - a firm that specialises in investigating other insolvency firms practice - have produced a report that massively differs from AA. AA has a far from spotless record as an administrator. Griffins proposed CVA is made with the scenario of relegation to League Two built into it. It doesn't matter to them if the club is relegated or competitive in the Championship. Yes, staying in the League may give more money, but that is counter balanced by the amount of wages you have to pay to stay there. Griffins proposal of 65p in the £ (guaranteed at 50p in the £ and possibly rising to 99p in the £) works EVEN if the club falls to League Two. Compare that to AA's offer of 20p in the £ and which would you prefer if you were an impartial creditor?
-
The administrators job is to seek the best deal for the creditors. Pompey don't have to pay players 10k p/w, as Griffins have outlined the wage budget should be £5m per year not the £10m AA thinks it should be. Saints can afford to pay Lambert his £9k p/w for his 31 League Goals as they have 20k+ crowds and no creditors to pay back. A luxury Pompey are a long way from having.

Well the way you wrote it was... "Get you are grass here" Also it isn't grass the club are giving away, it is top soil.

Different Ownership and Managment, same old summer
Matthew Le God replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Do you know what a contradiction is? Because I certainly didn't contradict myself in that post. I didn't say using the TV isn't a way of obtaining an opinion, I just said it isn't as good a method compared to actually being at a game! Alpine does neither on a regular basis when it comes to Saints, yet still forms an opinion. Yes, my opinion about Seaborne may be wrong, but at least it is based on first hand evidence rather than none at all or secondhand. -

What a strange comparison! Every match of the World Cup is live on the TV. How many Saints games that Danny Seaborne has played in, have been shown live in Austria? Also watching a game on TV isn't the same as seeing a player live at the stadium. The camera misses a lot. -
Sounds good to me.
-
If AA concedes that he can make a better offer, that shows he hasn't been acting in the best interests of the creditors. There is a huge difference between the two proposals, which potentially shows he hasn't been acting as an administrator should if Griffins offer is feasible or close to a workable level.
-
I think you have missed the point.

We should have a hall of fame for threads where people were actually proved to be truly ITK.
