Not really a £2 booking fee if that £2 doesn't go towards costs in taking the order but instead a charity the club fee guilty about ripping off. Just making the fans give the charity money doesn't cover up the wrong that was done by the club itself.

At the beginning of the season Jaidi was 3 years younger than Carsley is now. Jaidi also signed for a club on -10 points in League One. Saints next season are looking to win League One and build the team ready to get promotion from the Championship. Carsley would just be an expensive (in terms of wages) stop gap with no sell on value. They therefore could do a lot better.
