What do you want to happen to P*mpey?
Matthew Le God replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Lounge
There is a difference from saying most get around 1k and there is an average of 2k. Teams like Luton and Oxford have much larger attendances and thus raise the average. However that doesn't mean the majority of the clubs in the league don't have -

Most conference teams have attendances of around 1k. AFC Pompey could ground share with Havant & Waterlooville which can hold 4k. 4k is not an unreasonable amount of Pompey fans to stick with them, 50% of current season ticket holders. It would give them an income far in excess of every other non league club and they'd be able to attract and afford the best players at that level. They'd climb through quickly into League Two, be debt free and possibly able to build a new stadium more quickly than they could if the original club didn't fold. -

Conference Premier. The same league a new Pompey team may well start in. Remember a fans Saints team was potentially going to join the conference and Pompey fans have been having similar discussions. It is different from AFC Wimbledon or FC United of Manchester. Neither of those teams were the direct replacement for an existing club, they were protest teams. AFC Pompey would have a relatively huge fanbsae for non league and thus start much higher in the pyramid than AFC Wimbledon or FC United of Manchester. -

1) If Pompey died and were wound up then the fans would form a new Pompey team in the non league. This new team would climb through the leagues at a rapid pace and have an upward trajectory and the club would grow with success. This new club would have no debts would have a very large supporter base for the level they are playing. This supporter base would grow as they rise through the leagues. The lack of debt would make it easier to build a new training ground and stadium. They'd be winning games week in week out for years to come. 2) If Pompey survive the summer but stubble on without new investment they will fall through the Leagues on a downward spiral. They would still have debts to pay back over a 4 or 5 year CVA agreement taking up most parachute money and little hope of a new stadium or training ground any time soon. They'd be losing games week in week out for years to come. Which would you prefer? -
A 20 minute interview with PFC administrator Andrew Andronikou. Interesting when asked on possibility of the club ceasing to be in the summer he doesn't rule it out nor seem overly confident it won't happen. http://www.quayradio.com/pompey/administrator-interview.php

Putting it all together in one easy to digest post... Comical Andy - Minister of Pompey Information "There is no crisis at Portsmouth FC. We do not have any debts of mass destruction. It is a conspiracy set up by HMRC and the Premier League. We have FIFA on our side. Peter Storrie will take this club forward to new heights." - Comical Andy, April 2010 The 70 page creditors report outlining the £119 debt looks to be riddled with holes and inconsistencies. http://www.uhy-uk.com/media/news/PFC%20-%20Report%20to%20creditors%20Adobe%207.pdf I wonder how much more will come to light in the coming weeks?... 1) Peco AG are said to be owed £2m yet it seems they ceased to be in 1999. You can't have a debt with a non existent company. http://www.moneyhouse.ch/u/peco_ag_CH-400.3.005.256-4.htm 2) Paul Hart is missing from the creditors list... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1268155/Paul-Hart-considering-legal-action-Portsmouth-pay-off.html 3) A £560k fee is to an unauthorized and non FIFA list agent. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2944274/Pompey-560k-Diarra-probe.html 4) Another agent on the list is owed £230,000 and has had an 18 month suspended sentence for for fraud. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/586664-dubai-law-firm-owed-355000-by-portsmouth-fc

Saints groundsman Andy Gray (not the Sky pundit) has won League One groundsman of the year. I've beaten the OS to it! Saints have been in the top 3 pretty much every season for a number of years - whilst in the Premiership, Championship and now League One. http://www.football-league.co.uk/latestnews/20100422/groundsmen-of-the-year-announced_2245681_2031037 The St. Mary's pitch is one of the best in the country and puts a lot of big Premiership teams to shame. Like a bowling green throughout the whole season.

I love Guided Missle! He hunts you down using months old posts to destroy your argument. Poor Corporate Ho

I think HMRC will have a field day with that document. Especially if things like post 24109 are true. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=699919&postcount=24109

He seems to forget if that happened the florist and milkman he was concerned about earlier would receive even less.

Unless all football debt is paid in full then it is a points deduction. I wouldn't trust Talk Sport for anything.
-
That doesn't mean no points deduction in 2010/11. If they don't get a CVA then they will have a points deduction or even no "golden share".

What do P****y owe us £35 thousand for?
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Johnno's topic in The Saints
I think this is more intriguing if true... I may be wrong here but the 70 page document released today says Pompey owe £2m to a company called Peco AG. Nothing wrong with that you might think... until you have a look at that company and it "seems" Peco AG was liquidated 11 years ago!!! How can you have a debt with a nonexistent company? Are there any other nonexistent debts in the document increasing the debt so it can pass a CVA? http://www.moneyhouse.ch/u/peco_ag_CH-400.3.005.256-4.htm Trying to fiddle the figures Mr Andronikou? Like when you did this... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article7069905.ece -
That was just a typo by me. They should both read Peco AG.

Like who? In any case anyone on Premiership wages will be sold, even if that means for a very low price.
-
They won't have anywhere near a £3m wage bill after June 2010.

I knew it! At least he admitted it. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/portsmouth-anatomy-of-a-crisis-1949428.html

It may not have been a football matter.
-
Pompey owe Saints £35,000 I wonder if Saints will accept only getting £8,050 (£1,610 each year for 5 years) or not sign the CVA?
-
I may be wrong but don't see how that is relevant in this case. That is for cases of tax evasion/fraud. Pompey is a case of non payment and surely the document you linked to doesn't apply.
-
Quite possible one or more of the other creditors may block the CVA. Only 0.6%+ needed according to your calculations. Even if they don't, HMRC won't let this drop and will likely challenge it given AA's reported history of playing with the figures.
-
A more detailed breakdown of the debt from the 70 page document AA has made. http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2010/04/20/exclusive-extracts-portsmouth’s-debts-laid-bare-in-administrators-bombshell-report-210401/

James was very poor tonight(as was Wotton), but a key factor in taking him off was tactical so Connolly could give another attacking option.
