The Premier League would have no say in the matter apart from passing on any evidence to the Football League for them to make a judgement. Different governing bodies.

I wonder if they bit about £125 tickets is based on my thread? In which I made it quite clear I didn't think it would happen but just raised it as a discussion point. Do discussions on here really deserve being reported in the cities press? They use rumours from this site to add to their Saints transfer article even if they are completely unfounded.

Different governing bodies. (You also don't know what the Football League will do in the summer)
-
Of course Saints did. If not Saints wouldn't have started on -10, it would be a lot more in the way of points deducted ala Rotherham, Bournemouth & Leeds or not at all and just thrown out.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

What does that have to do with saying... "Not naming any names, but the club begins with B and ends in X"? You might aswell say "Bordeaux may be interested along with others" rather than playing word games. -
Some very strange logic to that statement. There is always going to be season tickets. Even if they went on sale one day before the opening game. If you have already set aside the money what difference does it make if it comes out of your account tomorrow or in July? If anything it benefits you more the later it is, as you are still accruing interest as it is in your account. The financial planning of some people on this forum is shocking!

Why not just say Bordeaux? -
You have to find time to to all that between the signing of autographs.

It was Brentford. Southend probably made the bid public on their OS to start a bidding war. http://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/8183359.Brentford_s_bid_for_Francis_accepted/ http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-sport/allsport/2010/05/25/brentford-close-in-on-southend-united-defender-simon-francis-109642-26513500/

The island wasn't purgatory. What happened on the island actually happened.

Which part of it are you confused about?

Which ten clubs? Most of the "larger" clubs in this league are broke e.g. Sheff Weds, Charlton, Plymouth. And the smaller clubs either couldn't afford Francis or meet his ambitions. I'd narrow it down to Peterborough, Brighton or Saints

Southend's right back and their player of the year... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southend_utd/8681230.stm Could the unnamed League One team that Southend have accepted a bid from be Saints? It is likely to be one of the bigger League One clubs. Peterborough have previously had a bid turned down for him. I can't think of many other clubs in League One in the financial position to afford him apart from Huddersfield, Brighton, Peterborough and Saints. The rest of the larger teams in the League such as Sheff Weds, Plymouth and Charlton have no money and are unlikely to be bidding. Ok, fine. You are more obsessed about Pompey than me.
