Better at what? Being a leader? I did not say he was. But I also did not say he wasn't. I simply don't know, and wonder how you might? If you mean as a player, then from watching them both and their match stats.

It is not merely ceremonial. She has the power if she wishes to reject laws and appoint ministers. That is not merely ceremonial and it certainly is not democratic.

1) What makes you think Lacelles is a good leader? Or even a better leader than Bednarek? 2) What makes you think Lacelles is a 'winner'?
-
It is a thread title about a fictional character 'saving' a descendant of medieval warlords.
-
Do you think an unelected descendant of warlords being able to dissolve parliament, elect ministers and reject changes to laws is q good situation compared to being able to vote out a head of state?
-
Please pick which option you'd prefer... A) MLG is born into the family of descendants of medieval warlords and becomes King and head of state for 50 years B) MLG is amazingly voted into the role of President and Head of State of a Republic. You have the ability to vote him out after 5 years. No option C) is available. Pick between A or B only please.

We don't live in a full democracy. The monarch has the power to dissolve parliament, she has the power to reject changes in legislation, she has the power to appoint ministers, she can pardon criminals and declare war. Not using those powers does not make the system democratic. It is still not a fully democratic country whilst she holds those powers. I didn't 'show you' because your post made no sense in relation to what I said!

Just because you want Bednarek upgraded, doesn't mean any old other bottom half quality centre back is an improvement. Lacelles is very limited! We could get a lot better than him.
-
Signing 'good characters' is what lumbered Saints with Walcott on a contract until 2023! We could do a lot better than Lacelles if we want to upgrade on Bednarek!

@Turkish unable to make a coherent point so resorts to petty insults. Straight from the @Turkishplaybook!

1) The existence of a monarchy means we do not live in a full democracy. That is a bad thing. 2) Some of the many benefits... - We would live in a full democracy - The UK taxpayer would not need to subsidise the descendants of medieval warlords - Royal palaces in Republican France make more money from tourism than the royal palaces in the UK. More of the area of them being accessible to the public makes a difference. So a tourism boost to the economy clearly is not a reason to keep the current lot! We'd be better off doing what republican France does!

What has she done to achieve this 'respect'? What benefit does this respect bring?
-
What about my response was 'missing it'?

I did not say they had enacted a law. I said they technically still hold political power despite being unelected... thus our system is not fully democratic.
-
What do you think I said in that post?
-
What point were you trying to make then?
-
Not entirely we don't! None of us apart from some one family descended from medieval warlords can become Head of State The unelected head of state technically still has some politcal powers, although unlikely to ever use them as it would potentially bring the monarchy down.

He could cut more ribbons 🎀 And open more mini curtains
-
He'd need to be voted in and unlike a monarch we could kick him out by voting him out. We don't currently live in a full democracy in the UK. That is a bad thing.
-
1) A 'good influence' on what? 2) Republics can vote for their head of state and kick them out after 4 or 5 years if they aren't doing a good job. The current situation leaves us stuck potentially with someone for 70 years due to fluke of birth. Why do you think the latter is a better situation?
-
Burnley are 6 points below Saints, 2 more points for them isn't enough. Leeds overtaking Saints would need a remarkable set of results to happen. Including a turnaround in the +18 goal difference advantage Saints have.

Sacrificial

I'd rather have Bednarek. Just because you want him upgraded, doesn't mean any old other bottom half quality centre back is an improvement. Lacelles is very limited!
