Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Lavia has played a 1st team game for Man City. https://mancity.com/citytv/mens/romeo-lavia-james-mcatee-man-city-wycombe-wanderers-debut-reaction-63767897 -
I didn't say I did have evidence. The club signed a 20 year old keeper for £15m to be 1st choice for our first team. If they thought the slightly younger Beach was a better prospect then why would they spend out so much on Bazunu? Beach will be playing under 21 football, or a sub/squad filler for under 21 football next season.
-
I doubt the club are too bothered by that. Chelsea may have signed Beach merely for boosting under 21 squad numbers and Saints have a slightly older keeper in Bazunu who is a lot more developed.
-
If he is a potential superstar, how is him leaving not a loss? Not currently being a key part of the first team doesn't mean him leaving isn't a loss.
-
Dibling doesn't play in the same role as Broja.

The Tweet says... 'all interested in a potential loan deal' Plus if it was a transfer for £25m to £30m, that isn't really out of place in the current transfer market.

Telegraph said £40m+

Looks like Saints are trying to position themselves as the RB Leipzig of English football. Offer a stepping stone to the top academy players from the elite clubs and a Premier League platform for those players for 2 or 3 years before happily selling them on. A big risk of course as our team is going to be very young and probably inconsistent, but has potentially a big upside if it does go well.

Lavia £14m Bazanu £15m Bella-Kotchap £10m 1st time Southampton have spent that kind of money in the summer transfer window without selling a player first. Sports Republic really bringing in a new era!
-
I think we need a fullback, possibly on loan to cover until Livramento is back.

Sky using £14m price for Lavia...

If his motive is... he wants to show the country's LGBT+ community that Labour under his leadership is fully supportive of them... why is that an issue? Of course he is there to help win votes, but why is that a problem? It doesn't mean he doesn't support the meaning behind the occasion.
-
Why can't he show that Labour under his leadership is supportive of LGBT+ issues? What is the problem with that?

What would put him in the position to know anything about the transfer? Merely being in a city doesn't qualify ITK status. -
The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

What a bizarre line you've taken. Comparing an offensive verbal insult from someone's father 59 years ago to voting on legislation that impacts on millions of lives. Boris has picked these people for his cabinet who are against equal rights, and his own record since becoming an MP for turning up and bothering to vote in favour of equal rights is appalling. -

Yes, really. The voting record of him since he first became an MP and that of the people he has picked in his cabinet since 2019 is not good when it comes to LGBT+ having equal rights. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/25/cabinet-ministers-mixed-voting-record-on-gay-rights-and-abortion -

His voting record on LGBT+ issues and the voting record of many of those he has appointed in his cabinet shows he doesn't support equal rights at all!
