  1. Exit2, I want to know about any possible points deduction appeal. Think we have a good case based on the league moving the goalposts of their rules and what Mark Fry said at the time. Have their lawyers been looking into that and what are their plans? Can you ask him about that?
  2. DaintyDave already has released a name

  5. Buying a football club is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. It takes 60 days to pluck up the courage to make an offer.

  7. 1885 1898 was when we moved to The Dell

  12. Such an overused term. Southampton's training facilities are FAR from "state of the art". Some Prem clubs have spent £30 million + on training facilities. Yes, Saints training facilities are good, but the term "state of the art" means they are an industry leader which in this case they clearly aren't
  13. Do these two statements not conflict somewhat? Ok, the Irish deal may fall through and Pinnacle step in. But you aren't really in the hunt if someone has exclusivity and close to the deal.
  14. Sunderland are reported to be about to spend £200 million on players. Would be tempting for Strachan
  15. 1) Two appearances in the Champions League last 16 with the small resources Celtic have. 2) 8th place in the Premiership with Saints and a FA cup final.

  20. He didn't play upfront for large parts of the season. At times he player on the right and others he was in "the hole" behind two strikers like Euell and Saga. So to say he played upfront all season is wrong, and also to complain about his goal return in a poor team with poor service.
  21. I find that hard to believe.
  22. On the condition that they pay 2m and resign with no compensation. Hardly an inviting proposal. Leon Crouch knew they would never accept. His 2m would be safe in his pocket and he could live of the claim that he offered 2 million until he was exposed for making an empty promise he had no intention of ever following through by the Echo.
  23. i) Leon Crouch overspent beyond the clubs means and increased wage bill significantly whilst in charge. ii) He made a promise of £2m with conditions that he knew Lowe and Wilde would never agree to and that he would not have to pay. Wilde, Crouch and Lowe are all to blame. As for your point of intelligence Can you seriously dispute either point i) or ii)?
  24. Is quoting someone incorrectly not an offence on these boards?
  25. I did say Crouch wasn't the only reason Leon Crouch, Michael Wilde and Rupert Lowe all played a significant part in this mess. Of course its good that he is stumping up cash now, put it shouldn't be forgotten that that he is one of the reasons for all of this and his over spending whilst in charge and empty promises of 2m which he knew would never be agreed on the conditions he laid out.
