You have not got the concept at all. The concept is for an experienced player to play in the B team. All the players you listed retired ages ago. Chris Perry is 48 years old and last played a professional game 11 years ago! Perry and the others you suggested would not be capable of playing at PL2 standard in 2021. Although Lancashire has been a League 1 and League 2 player throughout his career, he is still capable of playing at the standard of the academy teams.

Phil Jones is not a 'golden oldie'... he is only 29 years old... 8 years younger than Jose Fonte.

If it was true and proven then he'd be in prison not pre-season training.

Who said he'd be a starter in the 1st team? He may end up being a replacement for Vestergaard in that Salisu becomes a starter in place of Vestergaard and Simeu takes centre back numbers back up to four (whilst also getting some gametime in the under 23s).

They don't need to be pre-existing fans of the club. Wolves and Leicester's owners weren't fans of the club before they purchased those clubs. Their owners (like Liebherr) became fans of the club after the purchase.
