In this case he claimed it was a fact! So it is not unreasonable to ask why he considers it a fact! 🙄

Is your missile being guided by a pigeon?

It was a deal worth an initial £25m, rising to a potential £30m. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/said-benrahma-west-ham-transfer-news-brentford-latest-b1069668.html

How do you know that to be a fact?
-
It is not relevant to my post at all, it is on a completely different tangent. Do you deny that he was denied the opportunity to invest in the club by his government?
-
I don't know. But on what are you basing your view that he wouldn’t?
-
How is any if that relevant as a reply to what I said? You appear to think I've said something I didn't. All that post says is that he was prevented from investing in the club by his national government through no fault of his own. Are you disputing that?
-
His Wolves team was only 2 points above us last season. Hardly an insurmountable gap.
-
Not his fault if his country closed off him being able to invest shortly after the takeover.
-
For the under 21s, not the senior national team.
-
Kane has 3 years left on his contract, which makes a huge difference. Only having a year left puts the selling club in a very difficult position and the player's value falls off a cliff.
-
How have you worked that out?
-
The Athletic not being aware of any is not the same as there being none.
-
We already knew the DaGrosa deal wasn't going to happen. So it isn't really 'news'.
-
He found a work ethic last season...

Multi millionaire football managers in Burnley live here... Not in the £2.5m mansions available close by to Burnley... https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/104967428#/
-
It is a struggle to think of many (if any) players regardless of position who have cost £30m+ with only one year left on their contract.
-
I'm not saying he should be first choice or even starting, but to not be in the squad at all is daft.
-
In which case why did you mention Romeu went to Chelsea first? Isn't going fron Barcelona to London a change in lifestyle as well? Do you also apply the same to the lifestyle change of any foreign player moving to Saints... or only those from Catalonia?
-
He is still a former Barcelona player. You'd have a point if we were talking about a key Barcelona player. But Firpo isn't that, he is a fringe player who would be on wages within our structure and we can offer regular first team football to in a major European league. So I'm not sure why Saints going for him would mean he is not in his 'right mind'.
-
That isn't beyond the realms of possibility. They chucked enough cash at Ancelotti to get him, so an out of contract Conte may also be enticed.
-
It is completely unimaginable that a fringe Barcelona player would move to England looking for more gametime and eventually end up at Saints!
-
1) Why do you think that? He is being linked to Leicester, Arsenal and AC Milan. All three at a higher level than Saints. 2) What makes you think that? The club previously stated they had made him an offer, he dragged it out and didn't sign. Given the choice of staying at Saints or getting a last big payday at a club in Europe I think it is more the case of Bertrand wanting to leave.

Our 1st choice left back's contract is running out in 29 days time and he is leaving.
