  1. He said "rather a few loans and a bargain".
  2. It ain't what you spend, it's the way that you spend it. And that's what gets results! i.e. Watford 19th, Crystal Palace 14th, Southampton 11th
  3. Reliance on owner investment does not meet definitions of sustainable.
  4. So to be sustainable we need to be unsustainably given cash?
  5. Making a profit on transfers and finishing 11th is a good thing. Not something to be mocked.
  6. An alternative explanation... they were acting 'slow' because he was further down the target list and they are progressing with someone else.
  7. Looks like he's been crying red PacMan down his shirt!
  8. Is that a sweeping generalisation based on nationality?
  9. If Man City and Man Utd have still played only 2 games in May then something has gone disastrously wrong with the season! 😉
  10. So you've decided to ignore Hasenhuttl saying there will be 2 possibly 3 new signings before the window closes?
  11. Playing in the Premier League is higher exposure than a handful if games in the Europa League.
  12. If the source is for example Martin Semmens, he doesn't need to be told by Gao if a deal is on the cards. Gao can negotiate independently and people at the club find out at the last minute.
  13. Pay £9.99 for a day pass and watch it legally on Now TV
  14. That didn't answer the question at the start of the post. The last time they didn't qualify for Europe just backs up my point that they are in an extremely weak league.
  15. Given the current financial situation they may struggle to pay him off.
  16. The opening of my post was a question, not a point. You ignored the question as usual!
  17. 1) That isn't relevant 2) Argumentum ad populum fallacy
  18. 1) That was 15 years ago! 2) Being in a league with few rivals allows them regular opportunity for European football. My point was if Saints were in the Dutch League they'd also be competing towards the top. 3) Is a handful of Europa League games this season really more attractive than 12 Premier League games evety season vs Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs?
  19. Stephens is not remotely suited to playing in central midfield at Premier League level.
  20. Using what criteria is that relevant to 2020? - Similar sized stadiums and Saints have larger match day income - Saints have a better training ground. - Saints have a far bigger wage budget and transfer budget. PSV have won leagues and had European success due to being in a league with a tiny number of clubs that can compete with them. Put Saints in the Dutch league and they'd regularly be competing towards the top.
  21. What about it would make it fail the test?
  22. Out on 24th November 2020 Xbox version is coming out...
  23. This is an odd paragraph in that article, which highlights a lack of knowledge on the journalist's part of where our players play... "In the high-scoring reverse to Spurs they played with James Ward-Prowse in central midfield, with the England midfielder moving in from his usual place on the right flank. Sangaré would provide protection to Hasenhuttl’s defence as an out-and-out defensive midfielder who would slot in alongside Oriol Romeu."
  24. Turkish clearly is perfect and has never made a typo in his life. It's not like 1 and 2 are next to each other on a phone keyboard! Oh wait... they are! 🙄
