  1. I would think Reed is unlikely to make the match day 18, let along start or come on. Steven Davis was back in training in the build up to the West Ham game and will probably go into the squad instead of Wanyama.
  2. How many non-selling clubs can you name?
  3. That doesn't make sense as a question. Plus you are the one that started the thread, so its you that should provide the evidence. So where is your evidence?
  4. Anyone who at any point this season thought we'd go down is very poor at being able to analyse the quality of players. Anyone who put money on Saints to be relegated was wasting money whether the odds were 200/1 or 5000/1 or 1,000,000/1, it was never going to happen so didn't matter how good the odds looked it was wasted money. We only lost 3 players from last seasons squad of note and it wasn't hard to see they were all of good quality. The only doubt should have been quite how good they could become, not that they were going to bring down the level of the rest of the squad to relegation fodder levels. There was still a huge amount of top half quality in the squad and the depth improved this summer as we not only brought in replacements for the 3 main departures, but also additional players which increased the number of senior players and depth to the squad.
  5. 1) Wanyama commits foul 2) Clattenburg reaches to yellow card pocket 3) Clattenburg sees Payet rolling around 4) Wanyama gets red
  6. Theory... we are all living in a matrix version of a Gary Lineker dream!
  7. Wanyama put in a transfer request in the summer like Stones did... Wanyama is still here. Schneiderlin wanted to leave in 2014, we refused and he stayed for the season. Stones, Barkley and Lukaku won't stay at Everton long term either. What are you talking about? 2014/15 - Saints 7th - Everton 11th 2015/16 - Saints 7th - Everton 11th
  8. I don't think you should be throwing stones! The Premier League's January manager of the month unsurprisingly looks at January's Premier League results. January's Premier League results... Norwich 1 Saints 0 Saints 2 Watford 0 Saints 3 WBA 0 Man Utd 0 Saints 1 = 3 clean sheets The clean sheet at Arsenal was on 2nd February and clearly doesn't count to January's Manager of the Month.
  9. Quite a lot of things in that simply aren't true. I've only got 3 posts per day and can't be bothered to go into all of them now. Take Clyne and Schneiderlin for example, their ratings improved not because Man Utd and Liverpool signed them, but because they were reevaluated at the end of the 2013/14 season. Their ratings were done by me, long before they left. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the research process works.
  10. The article outlines a lot of what Saints will do. Help with coaching, providing a coaching curriculum, access to player data for comparison of different stages of development etc.
  11. They are aiming for 100,000 American kids to join the "soccer schools". Makes a deal with US sports company Under Armour more attractive as they can potentially flog a lot of Saints kit, training wear etc to all those soccer moms.
  12. The lowest we can be by the end of the weekend is 10th, unless Palace have a 12 goal swing in goal difference. 10th Stoke and 11th Everton can't both overtake us.
  13. This thread highlights football fans unable to recognise a good player when they see one. Fickle football fans being fickle... shocker!
  14. How do you manage to post something bizarre every single time? Why have you jumped to the conclusion he is a "fitness liability" because he misses the game tonight?
  15. Saints didn't need him unless Wanyama left... Wanyama didn't leave.
  16. Premier League clubs cannot loan in any players this season after today. The incoming transfer and loan window for Saints ends today. In a weeks time the emergency loan window opens and we can loan out players to Football League clubs.
  17. Prime example of click bait.
  18. Which two clubs do you think they'll get a Champions League place from these... Leicester, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd? I think there is a far better chance of us being above West Ham at 10pm February 8th after we play them at St Mary's than West Ham making the Champions League this season. Possible for us to also go above them on 2nd February.
  19. Its not a story by Sports Bible, they have rehashed it from an article in The Sun and even link to the Sun. Not that the Sun is a reliable source either, for example their recent bizarre Wanyama swap for Townsend story.
  20. Its not that mysterious, Adam Blackmore said Koeman told him on Thursday that Targett and Davis had been suffering from stiffness during the week and were doubts.
  21. If he was offered the Man Utd job I very much doubt he'd care Spurs were in the Champions League and Man Utd weren't next season. The difference in budgets and wages between the two jobs would be huge.
  22. How many Premier League managers have been on 1 year rolling contracts in recent history? It is unusual if you can't name many more than one manager in recent history who has managed a Premier League club on a rolling contract. Ferguson also is slightly different as he was a club legend and was 64 years old when he started using a 1 year rolling contract. At the time they were unsure when exactly he'd retire, okay he carried on into his 70's, but it is a very different situation to Koeman.
  23. Do you not think playing a big part in our rise from League One to the top half of the Premier League is a more notable achievement of his?
  24. We'd probably have 7 defensively minded players plus the keeper. I'm not sure what else beyond pressing you want the 3 attacking players in a 3-5-2 system to do. If they are constantly deep we'd have no outlet.
  25. What is your definition of helping out defensively, because if you press high you need the forwards to do a lot of work which both Mane and Long do. That is helping out defensively.
