So a Man City win helps the finishing above Arsenal situation to stand a better chance of happening. We've played Man City this season and it proved what we should already know, they are better than us. That is still up for question with Arsenal, we're above them and beat them at St Mary's and lost narrowly at the Emirates. Its hardly a "small club mentality" to think that Man City will finish above our team but that we have a good chance of finishing above a team with Arsenal's resources.

You are twisting that somewhat. I suggested... a Man City win allows Saints to have a better change of finishing above Arsenal than if Arsenal gain an extra point. We won't catch Man City, we have a good chance of staying above Arsenal, anything which helps us stay above Arsenal is a good thing. Surely you agree with that... don't you...?
