I think its very likely to be both, he is one of the stand out players in the Dutch league and Saints scout the Dutch league heavily.

It appears he (like a number of Saints fans on this forum) isn't going to wait and see which players Ronald Koeman brings in before writing Saints off for the season.

Les Reed has been at Saints since April 2010 when we were in League 1. The club's progression since then should give you confidence in his ability. It is Reed that Cortese turned to for football matters.
