  1. Amy Lewis ‏@SkySportsAmy 10m Tadic has signed on a 4 year deal with #Saintsfc I'm told [*] Amy Lewis ‏@SkySportsAmy 13m FC Twente / Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic has signed with #saintsfc I understand. More on #SSN
  2. It was also easy in foresight. You are just unhealthily negative about EVERYTHING! I've never seen a positive post from you.
  3. Why are you worried about Tribal Football rehashing a story that was in the Mirror days ago?
  4. Man City have reportedly agreed a £32m price for him and are awaiting his decision... http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-transfers-eliaquim-mangala-7387132?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Football-Sport-ManchesterEveningNews-RssFeed+(Football+-+Sport+-+Manchester+Evening+News+-+RSS+Feed)
  5. I think Tokyo-Saint needs to read post #782 and #783 again, because he appears confused.
  6. We can all make up quotes people didn't say...
  7. Its technically true... ...and its better than saying "gas tank fronted stadium".
  8. Tadic was FC Twente's penalty taker and Pelle was Feyenoord's penalty taker.
  9. I think you should consider that it is harder for Lambert and Lallana to score in the Premier League than it is for Tadic and Pelle in the Dutch top flight or Ings in the Championship. I'm not saying the latter three wouldn't do well in the Premier League, but its not a good idea to do a like-for-like comparison of goals scored.
  10. As might Koeman's Barcelona connection. But we haven't loaned a player since our return to the Premier League, why would we start now when we are more than capable of developing our own?
  11. He could be our main striker for the next 3 or 4 years. For a £100m+ turnover company, £8m on a Premier League striker isn't a lot if we get 3 or 4 years out of him.
  12. Thats a little unfair on Marshall. A 25 year old international Artur Boruc joined Celtic for the 2005/06 season, David Marshall was only 20 years old at the time and not a regular before Boruc joined.
  13. Where have you got that from?
  14. Its possible to have more than one transfer on the go at a time. The Pelle and Tadic deals are also in motion, others maybe as well that we don't know about yet. I'd say goalkeeper competition is required, we look extremely vulnerable whenever Boruc is injured, Gazzaniga and K.Davis aren't making him fight for his place as the arrival of Marshall or Forster would.

  17. Being in a transfer battle with clubs like Everton is hardly the end of the world. We could well lose out on the Tadic deal, but do you not think it is a good sign of the quality of player we are going for rather than living up to the doom-mongers prediction of a relegation scrap with Burnley, West Brom, Aston Villa etc etc?
  18. Would it not make more sense to wait and see who the replacements are before writing the team off for the season? Look at the squads of the teams that finished from 9th to 17th and the three newly promoted sides, they really aren't that impressive. Even with Shaw, Lambert, Lallana, Lovren and Schnedierlin sold Saints would still have a high number of players all those clubs would love to have. It would take some appalling recruitment decisions for Saints to be in a relegation fight next season.
  19. I think its likely he would have. Its a rule that is impossible to police and Saints fans can't really complain as we've likely done similar with a lot of players we've gone for.
  20. You've taken one example I made very much out of context.
  21. Tadic hasn't signed for Everton, even if he did why does that mean Saints will be relegated? Even without Shaw, Lallana, Lambert and potentially Lovren & Schneiderlin there is a lot of quality still at the club for Ronald Koeman to build on. Have you seen the squads of the sides below us last season and the newly promoted sides? They really are nothing special. It'll take a disastrous summer of recruitment for Saints to be in the relegation zone next May. Ronald Koeman hasn't left a Champions League club for a laugh, his appointment is a show of ambition in itself. More so than for example West Brom appointing Alan Irvine don't you think?
  22. What does that mean? Who on Twitter is linking him to Everton?
