Les Reed has done only two Saints videos in recent months. 25th April 2014... 10th June 2014... 1) In neither video does he say there will only be "only 1 marque signing" 2) Dusan Tadic signed for Southampton on 8th July 2014, which is significantly after both Reed videos! I think your memory/faculties are failing you Batman, in the same way you persist in saying I've said Saints are bigger than Everton - when I didn't. Its all...
-
Do you have the link Batman? I don't recall him saying anything remotely close to what you've claimed.
-
When did he say both of those things? Link?

The article in question... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/391087/Tottenham-back-in-race-to-sign-Manchester-City-defender-Micah-Richards Daily Star is also linking Ronald Koeman with an interest in Roberto Firmino... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/391096/Arsenal-and-Liverpool-fight-it-out-for-20m-Brazilian-midfielder-Roberto-Firmino

Jos Hooiveld is our only Dutch player, and he appears to be extremely popular among the squad.

"What are the scores, George Dawes...?" "Ebbsfleet have 3 goals, Portsmouth have 0 goals" Badum tish(fish)!

Harrison Reed signs new four-year deal with Saints
Matthew Le God replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Thats nonsense, it puts the club in a stronger negotiating position to get a bigger fee if a club bids for him. If someone bid for Shaw, Lallana or Chambers with only a year left on their contracts we wouldn't be getting the fees we've got for them. -
I still think we'll get them both, so buzz away to your heart's content.

Quite a few of their first team players aren't playing, so by itself it doesn't mean anything. Celtic Football Club @celticfc · 28m Celtic team to play @fcstpauli: Gordon, Herron, O'Connell, Findlay, Twardzik, Henderson, Bitton, McGeouch, Atajic, Balde & Watt Celtic Football Club @celticfc · 27m Subs: Zaluska, Waters, McManus, Irvine, McMullan, Fraser & Lindsay

Not yet, but you can watch the entire game here...

They sold us Wanyama on 11th July 2013 despite still having Champions League qualifiers.
-
It ended up with this...
-
I've never said that. You've convinced yourself of something that didn't actually happen.

I am, but Saints are selling players for huge prices to huge clubs. If we were losing our best players to Stoke and West Brom then that is the time to really be concerned... but we aren't... its Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal for huge prices and wages on offer. I still think we should wait and see who the replacements are before criticising the club. If the incoming players by the close of the window don't leave us with a strong squad then that is the time to be annoyed.
-
What point are you trying to make?
-
How do you propose Saints keep hold of players when some of the biggest and richest clubs in World football make large offers (both in terms of transfer fees and wages)?
-
It appears a lot of Saints fans don't understand the following... Asset stripping In an "asset strip" you don't buy £18.9m worth of replacements (with more to come) and a £30m+ upgrade of the training ground. We'd be signing free transfers like Aston Villa have been doing with Senderos, Cole and Richardson. Fire sale A "fire sale" by definition is selling things at bargain basement prices. Saints are selling for huge prices to huge clubs.
-
Some of the biggest and richest clubs in World football are making large bids for our players and shock horror, our players are interested.
-
Do we? Cork is on the bench and Schneiderlin and Wanyama aren't available for this game. Positions we don't need extra players... right back, central midfield and defensive midfield.
-
Wanayma is on international duty with Kenya. They have a two legged match vs Lesotho, first game was on 20th July, second game 2nd August.

Harrison Reed signs new four-year deal with Saints
Matthew Le God replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Of course they do, for a start if Reed does start to interest bigger clubs then being on a long contract puts Saints in a stronger negotiating position. -
Would you prefer the club to publicly admit everyone is for sale? That doesn't help our negotiating position does it? If we get a huge bid for Schneiderlin he'll go, every player has a price. What is important is how well we recruit players ourselves. The Guardian says we are close to a deal for Virgil van Dijk. We could end up with van Dijk and Forster with the Lovren money and still have money left over from that £20m, let alone the Lallana, Pochettino, Shaw, Lambert money.
