I think its very likely to be both, he is one of the stand out players in the Dutch league and Saints scout the Dutch league heavily.

Hard to take any article seriously when it contains lines like... "they are facing an almost certain relegation battle in the upcoming season". It appears he (like a number of Saints fans on this forum) isn't going to wait and see which players Ronald Koeman brings in before writing Saints off for the season.

Les Reed has been at Saints since April 2010 when we were in League 1. The club's progression since then should give you confidence in his ability. It is Reed that Cortese turned to for football matters.

Ronald's brother, Erwin Koeman is Southampton's assistant manager.

That isn't him from FM14, its from FM13 when he hadn't played in the Premier League. He said the screenshots are from FM13, so its based on how he was after a season in the Championship in the 2011/12 season. In the January update for FM14 Lallana is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. I have a lot more than just "some input" into how he is in the game.

Its his every touch in one match, so its clearly not going to be as spectacular as a highlights package of his best bits over a a number of seasons.
