  1. A few people have said this, but seem unaware we didn't hear about him for a while because he was injured.
  2. Tottenham signed Gareth Bale from a Championship club and Arsenal signed Walcott and Chamberlain from a Championship club, to make a sweeping statement that no Championship player will be good enough is daft. Lallana, Cork, Lambert, Schneiderlin, Clyne, Rodriguez etc all made the step up well.
  3. Why? When we have two very good right backs who are both younger than Trippier.
  4. His initials are TS.
  5. But it also says...
  6. Looks like it'll be Clyne and Cork starting on Saturday... Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 46s Pochettino says @CalumChambers95 suffered a dead leg last weekend, while @VictorWanyama also took a knock. #saintsfc
  7. I think Isgrove is more likely to be used as an attacking option on the bench, as he trains with the first team.
  8. It gives more meaning to this photo. On the day it looked like a manager congratulating a youngster he gave full debut, now we know there was a lot more going on... Make his performances in the 1st team even more impressive given the circumstances.
  9. Its not one of the players. Its one of the backroom staff monitoring the progress of the three injured players, can't remember his name of the top of my head.
  10. Gastón Ramírez ‏@gasramirez10 2m Primer día en la cancha con @DejanLovren05 @Mattytargett muy contentos! First day on the pitch. We are very happy
  11. Why do you think that? They are terrible away from home...
  12. Why would you think it wasn't? It was posted today (the day they film training before a match to go with the press conference footage) and comes with the description... Southampton FC VINE: A wet morning at the #SaintsFC training ground, but @DejanLovren05, @gasramirez10 and @Mattytargett don't seem to mind!
  13. Well it does for me.
  14. Lovren and Ramirez doing ball work this morning...
  15. Mauricio Pochettino is now the 8th longest serving Premier League manager!
  16. Chico Flores now has to take orders from Gary Monk. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/21/swansea-police-row-monk-flores
  17. Cardiff City
  18. I think this is the key part of the Swansea statement... He looked like he was going to leave in the summer, his heart wasn't in it anymore and that was possibly affecting team performances which haven't been good lately. They've been on the slide ever since the League Cup win.

  20. We've only had two under 21 games since 13th December, the last one was over 2 weeks ago on 20th January. Pochettino probably feels its better for Wanyama to be training with the first team during the week rather than the development squad.
  21. Its a deserved red for Carroll (he swung his arm, minimal contact is irrelevant), the only thing that encourages cheating is no punishment for Flores for trying to get him sent off by play acting. They should both be punished over the incident, but that would be too confusing for the football world to cope with.
  22. Did you trust the club with... - Shaw over Fox? - Ward-Prowse over Chaplow? - Chambers over Richardson? (if you didn't, then surely you can see now you were wrong?) Then why not trust them if they believe Gallagher and Targett are ready? Unlike most English clubs, Saints have teenagers ready to play for a top half Premier League side. I think the system at Saints deserves a little more respect from some Saints fans in their ability to know when a player is ready for a first team spot.
  23. Flores made a massive meal of it and there was very little contact (certainly not where he holds his face), but it still looks to me like it may have been a deliberate swing by Carroll. Minimal contact or not, that would make it a red card offence. Problem is you aren't going to see a player punished for making a meal of an incident like Flores did and a red card for the offending player at the same time (even if its deserved). Footballers and football fans wouldn't be able to comprehend that even if its justified.
