We've only had two under 21 games since 13th December, the last one was over 2 weeks ago on 20th January. Pochettino probably feels its better for Wanyama to be training with the first team during the week rather than the development squad.

Its a deserved red for Carroll (he swung his arm, minimal contact is irrelevant), the only thing that encourages cheating is no punishment for Flores for trying to get him sent off by play acting. They should both be punished over the incident, but that would be too confusing for the football world to cope with.

Did you trust the club with... - Shaw over Fox? - Ward-Prowse over Chaplow? - Chambers over Richardson? (if you didn't, then surely you can see now you were wrong?) Then why not trust them if they believe Gallagher and Targett are ready? Unlike most English clubs, Saints have teenagers ready to play for a top half Premier League side. I think the system at Saints deserves a little more respect from some Saints fans in their ability to know when a player is ready for a first team spot.

Flores made a massive meal of it and there was very little contact (certainly not where he holds his face), but it still looks to me like it may have been a deliberate swing by Carroll. Minimal contact or not, that would make it a red card offence. Problem is you aren't going to see a player punished for making a meal of an incident like Flores did and a red card for the offending player at the same time (even if its deserved). Footballers and football fans wouldn't be able to comprehend that even if its justified.

Also means Carroll misses the West Ham vs Saints game on 22nd February.

I don't see the logic in the jump from ending the Adidas contract to having an own brand kit next season. If the story about ending the Adidas contract is true, why would the club favour an own brand kit over using Nike, Puma etc? Sounds like ********.

We don't have a player called Davies, and Steven Davis plays in a different position and role to Jack Cork. Wanyama and Cork are vying for the same role, Davis plays further forward in the three behind the striker.

Krueger sounds genuinely excited by the challenge of helping Saints and working with Liebherr. We've had the "she's selling the club" rumours since her father died 2010. Ralf Krueger's interview on Canadian radio suggests Liebherr has long term plans for the club.

Any signs that we are? Katharina Liebherr has been the owner since 2010 and in that time we've seen huge investment in the infrastructure at training ground/academy/stadium and the team.
