  1. Its a shame the Torquay vs Northampton game was postponed today. A win for Torquay would have put Pompey in the relegation zone.
  2. Pompey 0 - Mansfield 1 Pompey currently 3rd bottom in live league table! I place and 1 point above the relegation zone to non league football. The fans trust are a bunch of deluded amateurs who haven't a clue what they are doing.
  3. If these rumours are true there may be a good explanation for this, but the dates don't seem to match up... - Sunseeker Yachts was bought on 19th June 2013 by the Dalian Wanda Group - Sunseeker's sponsorship deal with Saints was announced nearly a year before the Chinese takeover of Sunseeker on 24th August 2012.
  4. What have they said now?
  5. The latest accounts show... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21712482 We won't know the full details of the rest of the 2012/13 accounts until slightly later into 2014.
  6. I didn't manipulate them at all, we were discussing Pochettino's Premier League record in his 37 games and someone raised Meulensteen small sample of 8 Premier League games.
  7. Meulensteen comparable record is from a much smaller sample of only 8 games compared to Pochettino being one short of 38 games. Meulensteen in those 8 games is averaging 1.125 points per game compared with Pochettino's 1.324. Over 38 games that would be... - Meulensteen 42.75 points - Pochettino 50.3 points
  8. As Pochettino hasn't yet completed a full season, but is one game away from managing the club for 38 league games I don't see the problem looking at how many points he earnt in roughly one season as an indication as to how well he has done. Mr X and yourself are saying a win ratio of 32% isn't great, but that fails to consider that the draws he gained when added to those wins actually add up to a high number of points. To be dismissive of a win ratio of 32% win ratio and not take into account how points the manager has earnt is bizarre. - Over his entire 37 games he has enough points for roughly 8th place in a 38 game season (so a game in hand as well). - Over 21 games this season he has enough points for a position of 9th in the current table. That is not poor.
  9. If you look at Alex Ferguson's win ratio it would include over 50 league games vs Liverpool for example. Pochettino has earnt 49 points from 37 Premier League games, that is a good record. Bizarre to look at the 32% win rate in those 37 games and dismiss it as poor.
  10. Yes, he has earnt 49 points from his 37 Premier league games in charge of Southampton. I fail to see how that isn't good.
  11. Are you aware how that 32% record in Premier League games works out in terms of points? Played: 37 Won: 12 Drawn: 13 Lost: 12 Win Percentage 32% That is 49 points from 37 games. In 2012/13, 49 points would have been enough for 8th place and he'd have a game in hand.
  12. My feeling from watching the press conference is that Pochettino is staying until the summer and seeing what the club is like at that point before deciding to leave or not. He's clearly not happy. I hope that Cortese is off finding a new investor and will return by the summer. Possibly wishful thinking, but I think Cortese got so involved with the club over the last 5 years it'll be hard for him to leave it like this in his eyes as unfinished business.
  13. The latest available figures showed for the first half of the 2012/13 season Saints made a profit of £900k.
  14. Probably worth adding this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep_xQHdfwlM
  15. They are looking to possibly move to Woolston, but will still stay in Poole. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/districts/poole/10934851.Sunseeker_says____no_intention____to_move_from_Poole_despite_eyeing_up_Southampton_sites/

  17. How is he right? What is he claiming "normal service" is?
  18. Its the normal pre-match conference you get before every Saints game in theory, but everyone knows what will dominate it. And its not discussing the merits and pitfalls of Gus Poyet's tactical approach.
  19. Sky goto every one of the Saints Premier League pre-match press conferences and their reporter normally starts the questioning and asks most of the questions in any video you'll see of the press conferences. The cameras are then switched off and the written press ask questions.
  20. That is just a random Twitter account pretending to be linked to Sky Sports.
  21. That may well be the case, but you are jumping to conclusions.
  22. That is what Les Reed effectively is, albeit with a slightly different job title.
  23. Its a cringe fest listening to him. Aren't these newspapers, radio stations and TV stations aware of the non entity of SISA? What are SISA now? Two men in a pub? Might actually just be Mike.
