In every club one person has to make the final decision, but as angelman said above he has a large team helping him and giving an input. The chief scout Paul Mitchell for example will have a big say in player recruitment.

I doubt we will keep the star players of Lallana and Shaw, possibly a few others swell. What is key is how they are replaced, the managerial appointment will give us a good idea where we are going.

You sound as if you are happy with that. Are you? Will you give him enough time? Lets say before the World Cup for a new manager and the beginning of September to get the squad fully sorted. If so, please promise not to start endless negative threads throughout the rest of the summer like you do every year.

Which question do you think he didn't answer?

I'm guessing you missed yesterday's interview when Yakin confirmed he was interested in the job.

Ronald Koeman is a long ball merchant! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmMDYxgE7Jo&feature=kp

That is a bizarre line of logic to follow in order to jump to that conclusion.

The current board have only lost one manager and he left because a bigger club wanted him. That doesn't mean the club has a problem. The current owner has been with the club for 4 years, with it being in the same family for 5 years. What more do you want from them? Based on what? I'd say Katharina Liebherr looks to be enjoying ownership more than ever since Cortese left. She is going to more games and even went to the staff match, not the sign of someone uninterested and looking to sell up after 4 years of ownership. As Rupert Lowe hasn't been chairman since 2009 how is he in any way relevant?

The current board haven't sacked a manager, they just lost one to a bigger club. They shouldn't be judged on what happened in the previous decade, as it had nothing to do with them.

Sky are about to do an interview with someone at Saints... Simon Burwood ‏@SiCamHd 5m Set up for a big #saintsfc interview but who will Roger be talking to?

If we are talking about great players not yet proven in management, how about this... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2545795/Zinedine-Zidane-eyes-manager-claims-ready-now.html Now that would get the press interested!
