  1. "Humour"? Did you not hear the man? Run for the hills!!!
  2. The latest North Korean propaganda video is concerning for residents of Southampton...
  3. David, it is you that missed the OP. I think you need to read this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21274752
  4. I've seen a lot of Pompey fans think they will walk the League as they think they will have by far the biggest attendances in League Two next season. Bradford City's average attendances in 6 years of League Two struggles... 2007/08 - 10th place - 13,694 2008/09 - 9th place - 12,704 2009/10 - 14th place - 11,423 2010/11 - 18th place - 11,128 2011/12 - 18th place - 10,171 2012/13 - 7th place - 10,190
  5. Key question... Is diluting a failed CVA an "insolvency event"? Football League rules state that... Insolvency Event' refers to any one of the following: (a) entering into a Company Voluntary Arrangement pursuant to Part 1 of the Insolvency Act, a Scheme of Arrangement with creditors under Part 26 of the 2006 Act, or any compromise agreement with its creditors as a whole Like diluting a failed CVA? ................................ 12.3.1 If any Club becomes subject to or suffers an Insolvency Event, that Club shall be deducted 10 points. It then goes on to say... 12.3.4 Where the circumstances set out in Regulation 12.3.3(b) apply and at the end of that Season, having regard to the number of championship points awarded (ignoring any potential deduction): (a) the Club would be relegated in accordance with Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3, the points deduction will apply in the next following Season (including in the Football Conference if appropriate); or (b) the Club would not be relegated as aforesaid, the points deduction will apply in that Season and Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3 will then apply (if appropriate) following imposition of the points deduction. http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20120702/section-3-the-league_2293633_2125717 The place to email and ask... enquiries@football-league.co.uk
  6. So this is the key bit... Insolvency Event' refers to any one of the following: (a) entering into a Company Voluntary Arrangement pursuant to Part 1 of the Insolvency Act, a Scheme of Arrangement with creditors under Part 26 of the 2006 Act, or any compromise agreement with its creditors as a whole

  8. Link to this?
  9. Did you try looking on the Saints ticketing website? Because the information is there.
  10. Rŭngnado May First Stadium in North Korea has a capacity of 150,000. We could ship it over here if we get another 50k Twitter followers, or maybe we could rent it and the club will jet us all out to North Korea each home game.
  11. I bet he is on a huge amount more than £20k p/w.

  13. It was written in July 2012. Not sure why it has its own thread in April 2013.
  14. Just think, that is before Remy, Samba, Green, César, Park Ji-Sung, Holliet etc etc signed!
  15. I'd imagine that figure includes some big bonuses for getting promoted to the Premier League. Had we not been promoted the wage bill would have been lower, which kinda justifies it.
  16. Reading didn't have parachute payments last season.
  17. That is because our figure is based on a season in the Championship with far less in the way of TV money.
  18. Maybe Brentford need to use this next time Pompey come to play...
  19. Parachute payments aren't done evenly over the four years, the first two years are larger than the last two.
  20. Another factor is Yeovil's manager is the Oldham manager's father! As Yeovil are unlikely to get automatic promotion and are guaranteed a playoff spot, Gary Johnson may take it easy on his son's relegation threatened team.
  21. It really seems you can't read today! No, I was saying that to do the things Weston Saint was talking about "investigations (surveys) into traffic (road & walkers) impact on surrounds etc", you need to do it over a prolonged period of high attendances and sellouts we are now having. Something that didn't happen in League One or the Championship and can only be done now.
  22. We've only been in the Premier League, selling out games regularly with an average over 30k for 1 of those years. Are you calling Weston Saint a liar?
  23. Yep, that was my point. It was something a number of people last summer said wouldn't happen.
  24. Answer the question I asked, rather than making up a different question and answering that.
