  1. If we go down we will have guaranteed money from parachute payments. £16m in 2013/14 £16m in 2014/15 £8m in 2015/16 £8m in 2016/17 Couldn't the loan be secured against them?
  2. As I'm sure you know, I can't put it in if I don't know how much it is or when it has to be paid back. Just because it is secured against the things you mention it doesn't mean it is to the same total value as them.
  3. Very funny. I'm leaving it how it is. "Surprised to see a mountain being made out of a molehill regarding the pause in work at Staplewood. SFC and Leadbitter have agreed to pause process whilst details of a specific aspect of the specification is confirmed. Project will be resuming very soon and both parties are looking forward to the project being completed ahead of the 2013-14 season. Nothing to be concerned about at all!" Not unless I have some solid information very quickly about how much it is, the interest rate and when it has to be paid back.
  4. Roughly 150 posters with over 100 posts in this thread suggests more than a passing interest from a lot of people.
  5. What about my first sentence? Also Cortese used this interview to deny the rumour the club was being sold... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/9269293.stm
  6. Saying "we won't comment on every rumour", doesn't mean they won't comment on some. Plus, in any case it was on his personnel Twitter account, not the club's.
  7. Who knows! But given the stadium expansion images were as recent as this summer and it was a summer which saw Saints the 7th highest spenders in Europe it appears the club still holds great ambition.
  8. British Virgin Island loan to fund this...
  9. This will of course hit the Echo tomorrow, possibly some nationals aswell. Would be useful if they clarified what has happened, but doubt they will. I'm not overly worried (yet), but speculation and rumour will mount among the fanbase (and Pompey's) if they keep quiet.
  10. The FA and Jenkinson will have to make up their minds soon, Finland want him as well.
  11. He is in the team photo... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/team-poster-on-sale-sunday-404762.aspx

  13. I'm not getting involved, have fun...
  14. The year we came 8th we only got 17 points from away games.
  15. How can a ref "clamp down" on players and stop them committing fouls or timewasting? They committed yellow card offences, he gave them yellow cards. Simple.
  16. Yesterday's under 21 game was Shaw's return to football after an illness in which hospitalised him. Reeves being picked over Shaw for the Everton game doesn't mean Adkins prefers Reeves to Shaw.
  17. He didn't lose control, the players were committing tackles that were clear yellow cards and West Ham's players were also time wasting. He had little choice other than to book them.

  19. Switching back to man marking for corners I agree with, but do you not think the 4231 system worked well in our last home league game vs Villa? The similar 433 system worked well against Man Utd at home and it is these formations they have been working on all pre-season and into the season. Did you not see what happened when we switched to 442 at home vs Wigan, they overran us in midfield.
  20. 2002/03 when Saints came 8th in the Premier League... 4 away wins 5 away draws 10 away defeats In 2012/13 lets not write Saints off after away defeats at Arsenal, Man City and Everton!
  21. That is harsh, he had no option with pretty much all of them other than give them a card.
  22. If you have played previous versions of SI's Football Manager or SI's Championship Manager there is a good chance you already dress like Miles and you don't even realise it!
