  1. You will find the majority of people are right footed, so of course most centre backs will be right footed. Adkins admits he likes having a left footed centre back and I can see why. Centre backs often have to cover for their full backs, with Hooiveld it makes it easier for him to cover Fox being also left footed.
  2. I didn't say he wouldn't. Just that the press may link those big clubs with him, but it is telling that he is only talking to PSV.
  3. He denied it on Twitter a few days ago when it made the Dutch press that Saints were in for him and said his agent was talking to PSV. This is probably just someone tweeting the original story unaware that it is rubbish.
  4. It is PSV he has said he is talking to, so the interest from those others wasn't that strong (if at all). PSV aren't that good.
  5. He came on as a sub against Forest last week. And he was fit enough to be on the bench.
  6. It would seem not.
  7. - It would take a massive collapse to even fall out of the play contention. Saints have 60 points left to play for and are only 25 behind the point total needed last season for 6th place. 6 wins, 7 draws and 7 defeats would do that from the remaining 20 games. - To come 10th would only need 17 points out of the 60 available based on last season. 4 wins, 5 draws, 11 defeats would do that from the remaining 20 games. I think you are failing to realise that given Saints already have 50 points, for them to drop down the table as you think it would need a catastrophic final 20 games as teams below will struggle to catch upto 50 points and then better what Saints pick up in the remaining games.

  9. With 20 games left, Saints are only 6 points away from what was needed for 17th last season.
  10. Because he is more experienced and has come from Spurs in order to get games, not drop behind Reeves and Ward-Prowse in the pecking order.

  13. There is about an inch in height difference. Are you sure you have seen Jordan Rhodes?
  14. THEVMAN has been correct with team news for a large number of games, he clearly has a contact at the club and is reliable.
  15. The FA's offices aren't open on the weekend, so how can he be registered in time?
  16. You also said in the summer, and continued to well into the season that Saints would finish 17th. - Saints now have 50 points from 26 games - Barnsley last season finished 17th with 56 points from 46 games 60 points left for Saints to get this seaosn, do you think they will only get around 6 points from the next 20 games? Would be something like this... Play 20 Win 1 Draw 3 Lose 16
  17. Email the FL? Probably won't get an answer.
  18. If they sell players, they should be forced to use their youth team players and not just bring in experienced players on lower wages than those that left. This really should have been enforced from day one by the Football League rather than this one in, one out policy.
  19. Why is it being on TV relevant? The only real difference from any other game is you have a cameraman on the touchline. The Forest game last Saturday was live on TV around the world, Saints won that.
  20. Lampitt, Appleton and AA all seem to think they can sell players/assets. Even if they can, it will be the buying club in the strong negotiating position and rock bottom prices.

  22. If he is "not going nowhere", then he is going somewhere! Double negative.
  23. It was a best seller in Belgium.
  24. Man Utd fans have more bottle than Pompey fans? Pompey fans think the club will continue to get away with it so no need for a protest club? Who knows...?
  25. An AFC Portsmouth would possibly start in a higher league than AFC Wimbledon did. AFC Portsmouth would be a replacement club for a defunct club where as AFC Wimbledon were a protest club and the original (if you can call MK Dons that) still exists. When Saints were on the brink didn't fans groups have constructive and positive talks with the Blue Square Premier/North/South about joining at that level? I think the Pompey trust may have done the same.
