  1. Rubbish! Transfer bids are not sent by courier. It makes no sense to do it that way when they could for no cost or time be faxed or even emailed. Do you really think Torquay United would send a courier to Carlise with a transfer bid for one of their players when they could just fax them?
  2. No doubt where Alex was this afternoon. Looks happy enough watching the under 21's... Rest of the 1st team took in the game aswell...
  3. Anyone that believes in a Saints on live TV curse/hoodoo/jinx etc is a superstitious fool!
  4. I don't think anyone has noticed yet that Kieran Cadogan played for Crystal Palace in this match. A player the press have linked with Saints. Was it a friendly set up to decide if he is worth buying along with potentially signing N'Lundulu?
  5. But then he'd want my job. Two into one just doesn't go.
  6. You don't rate him enough to know his name is George Boyd.
  7. Should Chamberlain still be a Saints player after the window closes, what are your predictions for how the press will explain how they were wrong and a League One club was able to hold off the advances of Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs? Or will they say these big teams don't really rate him any more and decided all not to bid. I think they will claim one of those teams has tied up a deal for the summer and the speculation will die down and then will all start up again in a few months. I look forward to Saints showing what crap they have been coming out with when Chamberlain stays.
  8. The press really doesn't have a clue what is going on and are making up a new front runner each day. That Daily Mail article above is littered with inaccuracies. All the national and local press have completely ignored Saints extremely strong financial position, Chamberlain recently signing a 3 year deal, his father stating they are happy at Saints and Nicola Cortese clearly stating Chamberlain won't be sold in January. If all the biggest clubs in England really do want him the price won't be £5m or even £10m, he would be worth a lot more considering they could get 15 years service out of him. To sell him for £5m or £10m now when he still has 2 and a half years left on his contract would make little sense. He may well end up a Premiership player before the age of 20 by staying with Saints. If Cortese and the Liebherr's really do mean to fund Saints as a team to challenge for European places then Chamberlain's ambitions may be achieved staying at Saints until at least his early 20's.
  9. Every regions version will be available on iplayer.
  10. Austin will cost probably upwards of £1.5m. BWP nearing the end of his contract at a club desperate for money maybe going for £300k. Seems a strange order for a striker hit list.
  11. You will be able to buy them both together.
  12. People were already queuing outside the ticket office over an hour ago and camping out overnight according to the Saints spokesman on Twitter! Daft really. Glad I already have mine as a STH. If you want to be sure, just go to the stadium early(ish) tomorrow and queue, ring whilst you wait when the lines open.
  13. Where have you heard it? Maybe a self fuelling rumour. Someone reads it on one forum and using that to support the claim on another forum, which in turn is used to back up the rumour elsewhere etc etc....
  14. Because they are more than competent and the team has far more pressing issues. Such as wide cover and probably another striker.

  16. Only 15,000 home end tickets left.
  17. Roughly 15,000 home end tickets left for this game.
  18. If Austin came to Saints he stands a good chance of being a Championship player in a mere five months time and on much higher wages than he is currently. There really aren't many clubs in the Championship at the moment which would a) need him b) afford him.
  19. Hence why he is 4th choice in the pecking order. No team in League One is going to have 4 top players at that level in a position where only two are required each match. Saints are lucky to have 3, any more and you couldn't keep them happy. Goben is more than good enough to provide cover in this league as a 4th choice.
  20. Adkins says Hammond is expected back "sooner rather than later". Pointless going to the expense of signing a player full time because of a relatively minor injury to one of 4 central midfielders. A wide midfielder is far more important, which also frees up Puncheon if needed to play centrally.
  21. Probably better placed in here... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26936-January-Transfer-Window-HCDAJFU In any case Wright is a central midfielder which we probably don't really need with Schneiderlin, Hammond, Chaplow and Gobern.
  22. Seaborne might be an even better option than Seabourne.
  23. There is a difference... Howe said he wasn't going to club X or Y, that doesn't rule out club Z signing him to be manager days later. Cortese and Adkins both said Chamberlain won't be sold in January and that rules out any move to any club.
  24. How is that relevant? Eddie Howe said he wasn't going to Charlton or Crystal Palace, not that he wouldn't leave. The day after, Burnley approached him and he accepted.
  25. A more pertinent question... Do you think homophobic comments are appropriate on a public or indeed any forum?
