Care to elaborate why not? Especially as you were the one that posted them in this thread initially!

I'd imagine he likes Saints quite a bit, as he has been at Saints since the age of 7. Most kids only start really taking up football, supporting teams properly at around that age. I'm not saying playing for Saints is his ultimate ambition and of course he'll want to play at the highest possible level and earn the most he can, but having been at the club for 10 years and over half your life will mean something you would hope.

Taken from here... http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/36710/wenger-reaction Without knowing the question we don't know if it was in response to AOC. It seems like it is a general response to any activity by Arsenal in the window. But I'm sure he has said similar in the past and still made signings.

Look at how much Walcott and Bale are worth now. Lowe didn't do that great a job really when selling them. Of course they would go for millions no matter who was Saints chairman, they are good players. He could have got more if he ran the rest of the business well and didn't weaken his bargaining position.

Plus we have one more game against them.

Yeovil down to 9 men. Sheff Weds score a penalty to make it 2-2. Ref disallows it for encroachment. Retake skied over the bar! Still 2-1 to Yeovil.

I didn't think they could get any worse !

Dan Keirns offered me a tour of Echo offices to show me my view of how the Echo creates stories. I think using Wikipedia (which can be edited by anyone in the world) as the basis for an entire story backs up my original view. The standards on University journalism courses must be declining rapidly. -
Pretty much sounds that way in the interview.

But they are adding extra, as Chaplow wasn't going to play for Saints after Jan 1st and Guly after Jan 23rd. So that makes them extra on top of what Saints were going to have at their disposal before their signing full time. I think we are just both attacking this point from different ends and should leave it there.
-
They didn't deny it, Barry Fry confirmed that there had been a number of discussions, but no bids (as of yet).
-
I wasn't saying it to state the obvious, I was saying it because I disagreed that Guly and Chaplow weren't new signings like Duncan said. This is a forum for discussion after all isn't it? They are new signings because until they were signed permanently, they weren't going to play for Saints for the rest of the season. Yes that is obvious, but some seem to think we haven't spent in the window or strengthened. Signing Guly and Chaplow are improvements to the squad because until they are adtional to what the squad would have been if they left at the end of their loans.

A team of players produced by our academy in the last ten years.

How is it? Blackstock played for the academy teams. Schneiderlin joined when he was already 18. -
I already knew the episode existed, so I went to youtube and typed in "Sooty Show Football" and it is the first video that appears.
-
I'm guessing the person that disabled the video didn't actually watch it to see that it was an episode in which Mark Chamberlain guest stars and does some acting. Unless it is just not possible to embed that video.
-
I hope you both actually watched the video, rather than thinking I was being racist.
-
I don't to be honest, when used in reference with the first two posts in this thread.

Well they are, because if Guly and Chaplow had not signed then we wouldn't have them from January to May of the League One season. Had Lallana not signed an extention he may have been sold in order to get a larger fee than letting him go at the end of his contract in the summer.

Real Sociedad used a similar policy to Athletic Bilbao until 1989. -

He is 30. He came through the youth system over 10 years ago.
