Extraordinary non decision. Get this clown out and let the kit man pick the team for the last ten games. Then get a proper manager for next season.
-
Hope that kills you, first 15 mins thought we might get something.
-
We were fine till we gifted them a goal. Tactics and selection too negative.
-
Get Mara off now, he’s done alright last couple of times but woeful today
-
Solid start by us, what we mustn’t do …….
-
Lavia looks on it today
-
Soft pen
-
Mara has had several good touches
-
Keeper, that cross has come a long way right into his six yard box.
-
Utter shambles, Selles totally clueless on the sideline.
-
We will be fine, Selles is planning our future for the next ten years.
-
My dad first took me to the Dell to see Ron Davies and Terry Paine, followed shortly by Mick Channon, imagine your dad taking you to watch this lot.
-
We’re going to win this 3-2, Grimsby tiring and sitting too far back.
-
Can we just miss out the Championship and go straight to League 1? With a decent manager and a clear out of all the deadwood we might just have enough to stay up.

That B team is probably better than the team that played Saturday, obvs no Latvia but the rest of it shows how interchangeably rubbish the rest of our squad is. Maybe that’s the secret of our non-success, we employ two B teams and can’t put out a decent first XI?
-
Hard to think we are only 2 games past half way, that would normally be the table in early Jan. promoted sides currently doing well, none of Fulham, Forest, Bmouth currently cut adrift. Hard to see too much above Wolves going down, but, there’s ‘always’ a team that crashes and burns, Palace possibly? Realistically I don’t see Everton/Dycheball going down. Have to hope we can squeeze past Bmouth WHam Leeds …. big 6 points incoming next week!

SFC where AI stands for Absolute Incompetence. Incomprehensible what we have spent in two windows and ended up with todays starting XI
-
I reckon we will see his hands moving this afternoon.
-
Dodgy keeper, another cut and shunt back four, we will need to score three times to get anything out of this.

Here’s a genuine question, ‘everybody’ seems to want a high press 4-2-2-2, apparently our players are well-suited to it and have been recruited with that system in mind. Looking at the season now, if we get a good pressing manager, are the players currently fit enough to play that system? Looking at the way we often run out of legs at 65-70 minutes it would possibly suggest not? If new manager needs the players ‘fitter’ how quickly sports-science wise can players fitness be adapted (improved) while they are playing a full fixture list? Obvs doesn’t apply to next season when there is a full pre-season available.
-
Not having this, we buy players that suit only one system? so their resale value is tied to only selling to a club that plays a certain system? they will never play international football unless their.country is playing a certain system? I call total BS on this, if we sign players that can only play one way no wonder they can’t beat 11 v 10 with a goal start.

Not sure we will see much more of tall Paul, bought for GrahamTaylor/natheball tactics, struggled on Saturday where we tried to play to his strengths (overlapping wing backs and lots of route one) the Prem has moved on since the days of Graham West etc. Hopefully the new manager will be a touch more sophisticated.

The squad’s a better fit? what does this even mean? We recruit a manager based on the misfiring players we have, or we recruit the best manager we can get? hello new manager, the keeper is crapp, we play a different back four/five every game, our best midfielder has missed half the season, we haven’t got any strikers, you’ll do. Ridiculous mindset, somewhere in there is a reasonably competent first XI, we need to appoint a manager with no pre-conceptions who will find that team, an alchemist if you will, NOT nailing the new man to the failed old systems. Marsch is a strong no for me, even if he would “suit our squad’.
