Apparently we are on a run of easy/easier games? Brighton look about three levels above us and we made hard work of L1 oppo the other night. No easy games in the Prem and with our squad we are fecked. Guess the spreadsheet must be rapidly turning from 'buy' to'sell' in the window.

Keeper playing like a kids u11 keeper. Poor positioning and reactive to everything. Head's completely gone.

OMG

Can we change into stripes at half-time? Might be able to put three passes together.

A lot of hopeful long-balls from us, BHA giving us a lesson in controlling the game

Solid start

We've got 4 at the back Our best full backs on their best sides CBs, not sure I rate any of them, perm any 2 from 4 Midfield without Lavia/Romeu will always struggle No AA Djeneppo has been OK this season, 'everyone' wanted Edozie to start starting games In the absence of anything else Che has to start..... Shall we actually watch the game before we hang the manager?

Weird one, comms said as he wasn't 'in possesion' so he wasan't denied a goal scoring chance. But a, 'deliberate foul' to deny the player a chance of the ball, is not a red card. One of the few things the ref got right.

The Whistlin' Chicks, just thinking four years ahead, they can have that one for free. Also chickpeas.

Somebody, don't know who (FIFA/refs/managers/clubs?) proposed that football moves to 60 minutes with the ball in play, 'Somebody else' turned this down. Apparently the PL averages 55 mins with the ball in play, some leagues average 45 mins. Central timing and 60 minutes of action is something I could get behind.

What is the best goal you've ever seen live at a Saints game?

I've seen a few of these. Runners-up spot jointly goes to:, Seiss away at Watford, nearly took the net off. Mane hits the fastest PL hat-trick in history, Shane Long strolls up and strokes it in from 35 (40yds?) out. Like he's been doing it all his life. -
Another Graham Taylor perchance? I don't think too many would enthuse over his style of football but it's hard to argue with his results. And it was said that he too used to buy his centre forwards 'by the yard'. Not quite sure how this all translates into the modern PL but it's looks like we've got us a manager that's prepared to utilise what he's given to the max. Interesting times and straight out of the SR playbook. Still can't quite work out why they stuck with RH for so long?

BODMAS.... are you ITK for our new striker? -
You don't think that's a penalty? 1-1 tomorrow, 94th minute, and we don't get that? Not sure football's for you.

I'll raise you Southend away if you want 'proper rain'. -
C'mon people of Fleetwood, that's an awful lot of grandchildren who have missed out on saying, 'my grandparents were there'.
-
You’ve got to wonder how many of their players would get into our starting X1?
-
Follow it, some lovely Saints pictures, I think I named most of them.

This is one of the worst PL games I've ever seen. Only consolaton is that for those scratching around for 'three teams worse than us' is that Villa are absolutely dire too.
-
Looks like I'm going to be roped into the catering duties too. On the pitch can I be Jason Puncheon? All that running around in the first half, I might need to be a little delayed before we come back out for the second half.

Average players - they held down a place in the team, they could hold their own at the level they were playing at, some good games, some not so good, no danger of moving up a level. Paul Jones, Telfer, Williams, Tessem Oakley Anders Svensson Ripley Ormerod Gully sp Wooton Holmes Waldron Lloyd James A pretty harsh list, all these DAJFU!
-
Zings can only get better (apologies if its been done further up thread).

When you see all five written down in the same sentence you kind of see Ralph's dilemna. They all offer a bit of something, none of the five is standout PL quality. Guess Ralph goes for Bednarek as the experienced, hold-it-all-together, pick, and he then perms two from four to play with him.
