Backs to the wall for everyone. It's 1-1 now but NI have been brilliant. Davis was a decent buy for us- stick Cork and JWP in the mix and our CM looks OK. Baird CDAJFU at CH LOL (he's playing CM tonight).
-
Baird and Davis playing for NI, 1-0 up away in Portugal (Ronaldo and Nani etc), Roy Carrol having a blinder, u know it can't last,17 minutes to go!

VFT you have an email.

Gentle bump, West Brom tickets come out tomorrow. I have sourced two, I would love another two if anybody needs the points? Thanks for anybody that can help me.

Excellent, 'the Southampton Way' expressed in points, and we're pretty good at it based on these figures.

'Fans' will be the last consideration when a European league starts-up, which is pretty much inevitable over time. It's all about TV + ADVERTISING = MONEY, and the fans are nowhere in their considerations. It will just be a larger scale version of the PL really. We already have a de-facto European League anyway, the CL, and I don't see any too many of those fans complaining. -
Does Lallana need dropping to give him a kick up the backside?

add Schneiderlin to that list too! -

Who would fetch more (most?) in the transfer market? Llallana Lambert Clyne Ramirez 4 different players, 4 different ages, 4 different positions/styles. Not sure there is a single defining characteristic for 'best' player? -
Did we spend our transfer money wisely? We're they Adkins choices?

Fur coat and no knickers? (not that I'm agreeing with you). -
Is there anybody out there with points on their card(s) but who can't do midweeks but who would like some more points on their card(s) for the big Saturday away games? I have 3 STs but no points on them (boo), would love 3 or 4 tkts if anybody can help me out?

That's how to fill your ground for a telly game!

Didn't realise Gazzaninga posts on here, well played yesterday.

I was wondering how the re-stocking (s******) went? I saw a bird behind the Northam early doors while we were on the way to the pub, tottering about on 10 inch platforms that wouldn't pass any sort of H+S risk assessment, standing there lamely with a clutch of about 8-10 programmes in her hand and trying to give us the eye, but preferring to buy pre-match rather than pre-pub we made our excuses and left . Irony of ironies I pretty much 'always' buy a programme home and away but didn't buy one yesterday. We got back down to the Northam corner at about 13-00 and no sign of a programme seller though I did see two very nice young men in suits but neither seemed to have any programmes to hand. Couldn't see a kiosk or a mobile seller in the concorse, I did ask a steward on the way up to my seat where I could buy a programme but I think he found the question too difficult, he certainly couldn't direct me to where I could buy a programme. Call me old-fashioned but what exactly was wrong with the old way? Can't believe this new way is any cheaper or that it will sell any more programmes, but hey, that's progress.

They had the 10 men, HTH.

Not really. it's all about aunts and ******, if we go 2-0 up we win that game. Schitt game, schitt ref. Liked, Gazza, Davis, JRod (up to a point) Can't believe we are playing in the Prem, we have spent near on 30m and we are playing Fox at LB, a left footed CH at RB and one of our main 'creative' outlets is JP! He's been playing 'ok' but how many goals has he got? How many assists? Squad looks hopelessly unbalanced and we are constantly ramming square pegs into round holes, desperately missing Cork who IS a utility player and also missing Lee (Delgado v2?) who looked decent last season. Sympathies to Nige, you can train all week but you can't legislate for Jos's OG, but you can legislate for the wide open spaces from which Fulham produced their two goals. Big three points dropped today.

That's the trouble with you Turkish, you've got a St Mary's size mentality. I'm with Frank, up to a point. Not withstanding that with every game being shown in pubs and on the interweb the value of the matchday experience has already been massively discounted. Have we perhaps reached peakcrowds? And I've spotted two teams worse than us on MOTD, we will have to be pretty poor to finish below Norwich or QPR, no? Just one more to find now, prob Reading.

Lawrie Mac nearly signed Colin Todd, can't remember the exact ins and outs but it's in his book.

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales

It's called being in the Prem league. The numbers both in and out are eye-watering, 'avg' players on 40k-50k a week, 20-30 players per club. You don't think this money comes out of the punters' ticket money do you? Pretty much all clubs in the Prem are run by either a sugar-daddy or on debt, why would we be any different? It is a massivley difficult place to break into, as we are finding out now. Are people really suggesting we should have started the season with last year's team/squad? Is most people's reaction on hearing this news that they would rather claim a refund on Ramirez, hand him back and knock 10m-15m off the overdraft? Man up a bit and believe. As we stand today and if we don't win another point this season we have 'guaranteed' big revenues for the next four years, stay up this year and we double/treble our money from next year. Worst case scenario is that the Markus money is all gone and there is no new money coming from the family, so what? Did people expect to be sugar-daddied for ever more? If the club is now in a position where it has to stand on it's own commercial feet I couldn't imagine a person better placed to manage that whole scenario than NC. Enjoy the ride, maybe even bring a friend on Sunday? Your club needs you! -

Stop talking sense - you're gonna put a lot of people out of their misery talking like that and they wouldn't want that would they? -
How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed?

Lovin' it, it's Wednesday afternoon and we're all still at it, this never used to happen after we'd played a Plymouth or a Rochdale. The Premier League - where one game lasts all week! -
I'm pretty sure that if that was the scenario you or I could manage this squad out of the Championship. I had a rather unfaithful thought last night - purely hypothetically of course - I would love to have seen this team in the championship!
