Well he 's not going to dis a fellow Argentinian is he, think how that will go down back home... probably revoke his passport.
-
Hope you all enjoy tonight's game, I can't get down there regrettably and will probably mist saturday's match as well. Fingers crossed for a 3-0. Bloody medics.

Get Rid fast and stop Effing about with our Ricky.
-
Get Brad Friedel in on loan asap. Gazza was hopeless on Sunday like a rabbit trapped in headlights for goals 2 and 3. Out of his depth and no time to learn in a top six club.

Yawn! Another slow news day so all you guys can think of is this old lemon. How many times does the guy have to spell it out? He's not going anywhere and this thread can only do damage by sowing seeds of doubt everywhere. Man up the lot of you and stop crying into your milk about nothing!
-
Yep! But we're all in this together. Nobody is being left behind I promise. As for Mick, Good on ya, sport!

Are your sure, Lovren wasn't training at Staplewood when they did the Gallery pics and Luke doesn't look well at all.

Arsenal - worst fans in football?
Charlie Wayman replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
If you had ever tried to get home after a match at Highbury or The Emirates you'd have a little more understanding and sympathy for your North London brethren. It's not like a provincial city where you can just jump into your car and drive away. -
Who could possibly say anything even remotely negative about the man, a lovely, lovely guy, a top, top, top [;-)] player and a superb role model. What's not to love? Except we're fellas and we'll you know....
-
We'll win 2-0.

Wishful thinking by brain dead thick Spurs fans?
-
Why would he want to leave a project only one year into its tenure. It would be impossible to go to another team and achieve what he has achieved here overnight. Yes he's been here for only a year but his style was built on a solid Adkins base of possession football but the balance was changed to substitute some of the gung-ho style of attacking with better defensive control in our own half. Following some clown like AVB might not work so slickly and remember Pochettino has had his dismal failures in La Liga as well as modest success. Mr Cortese doesn't encourage people he trusts to leave The Family. Why would there be an exception now when everything seems fine and dandy. A couple of massive cock-ups by Boruc and Fonte doesn't change anything and if we don't beat Chelsea on Saturday it still won't be execution time.

Post Match Reaction: Arsenal 2-0 SAINTS
Charlie Wayman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
What worries is that the loss of just one of our key players throws the whole shebang into a nose dive. We will win this league so just keep the faith. -
Adam's performance was not perfect. At times he was not reading the game at all and mid-second half he was quite obviously losing concentration something he wouldn't dare do with Pochettino pin the touchline. Having said that who was any better and all the hype about Cleverly and Barclay seems wildly misplaced. They wouldn't get into Saints team. Where was Ward Prowse when we needed him?
-
I'm sure you left this line out there for the funny guys to pile in as inevitably they will
-
It's up to Adam to seize the opportunity, if he's better than Theo or Alex then its a no brainer for Roy - and he could be - as the ex-Saints players can be a bit one-dimensional most of the time whereas Adam does the defending bit just as well as the attacking and finishing stuff, he's a more complete player not just a winger.

Very hard to believe, you can usually tell when people are playing games like that as invariably they betray their comprehension when the question is put in English. Some people have no aptitude to learn another language especially in their 40's try as they may and I reckon Pochettino is one of them. I wish he would integrate properly into our society otherwise the suspicion will remain that he doesn't aim to be around in England for long.
-
What really stands out is that Nicola Cortese has plucked two unknown managers out of nowhere and both have been a success and has also fired two manager's who were doing well enough but not brilliantly to make way for them. This is one shrewd operator and we need to pray he stays with Saints and doesn't get whipped off to a top European club who will have their envious eyes on both Cortese and Pochettino. It is losing either of them that we should really fear rather than one or two of our players

It's getting a bit stale now. Good idea originally but past its sell by date. Need to get in that dressing room and here rocket man at half time.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Hull City
Charlie Wayman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
How can you not love them? Now do you believe me that WE are GOING to win this league! -
...but I do understand modern football and its cynicism which is the basis of my earlier commentary and of course you are quite right on all counts but how does one become uninvolved? It's not so easy or indeed agreeable for most fans just to 'walk away' because they don't like what is going on with their club. People don't decide to become fans on the spur of the moment like deciding they fancy a take-away so why not? For most it is a lifetime's emotional involvement instilled in early formative years by well meaning but misguided parents. Even the disenchanted and disenfranchised Man U fans still turn up in green & yellow scarves every other weekend. One suspects the only remedy will be when fans are priced out of the market, the ultimate disrespect that is coming to every club near you soon when many fans will have lost their option to attend games. What would be the point of boycotting Saturday's game? Even if we did it to a "man" (& women) it wouldn't be fair to players who are as much pawns in the game as fans and in any case understand and relate to fans in a way that Clubs long since forgot how. No, we should remain engaged by carrying on supporting our team for the good things it does but make it very obvious to the powers that be when we think they are doing bad things. The FA & Football League should impose multi-year bans on clubs who take the p*ss with their cup competitions and ensure also that winners get a European slot automatically with less gongs on offer to the PL.

There's nothing at all subtle about what we did, it's what all top clubs do but with the rather obvious and laughable difference that we have not yet proven ourselves as a top club! The only hopes we have of winning anything in the short term is to challenge for and win the cups. Parodying the top clubs is so paralytically stupid that we will end up with what we absolutely deserve, SFA! The club may have big ambitions and big ideas but some decision makers are in danger of becoming too big for their boots. We the fans, the true heartbeat of Southampton Football Club would like the glory of actually winning something before the man with the big scythe finds his way to our addresses. Using cup games as a ruse for a training match is disrespectful of us and SFC and brings the whole game into disrepute. It disappoints, frustrates and sickens me in equal measure.
