There's an awful lot of depressive speculation about KWP on here but honest folks he ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Why would he? First or second on the team sheet every week and that won't change in the foreseeable future nor has there been any sign of grumblings from the man himself. Of course other teams would like him and they know our history as a selling club so a bit of sh*t stirring* here and there by club's agents is intended to sow seeds of doubt within the player's mind and those of fans as well. By swallowing this bait hook, line and sinker fans on here are falling into the trap of creating a febrile atmosphere designed to undermine the player's temperament. Stay positive folks and let their* little game play out without reaction.

We have one of the best RBs's in the PL yet we seem determined to undermine his position here and probably his confidence by these constant rumours of our interest in other players for his position. Although he comes across as a thoroughly decent, popular and settled individual, it should be remembered that everyone has their limit on the number of times they will stand by to be 'insulted' in this way. It's all very well insisting that he can play equally well in other positions but why should he be the one forced to play out of position to keep a place in the team? The club are playing a dangerous game which could result in one very pissed off player wanting out simply to get better treatmest choice RBnt and greater stability in his career and a real shot at becoming England's first choice RB. We lose Kyle Water-Peters at our peril, our best and most consistent player by far.

Assuming that the leopards have changed spots. Normally in a transfer window at Saints 'no news' means nothing is happening. Just possibly they are mulling over trying to make some sort of deal with Chelsea for Broja 🤞. Despite many gossip rumours linking the lad to the Hammers or the Geordies there has been no movement. Maybe we have first refusal 🤞, maybe the lad has indicted a preference to stay on the south coast 🤞 rather than emigrate to the barren wastes of the heathen lands north of the Thames.

Let's not get carried away old chap. Nobody has died wearing No 7. Eric Day & Terry Paine wore that shirt with great distinction long before le Tissier or Ricky came along and inevitably there will be other far more illustrious names to follow in the years ahead.

In his heyday Shane Long was one of those rare players who could light up a stadium with his surging runs and terrific finishes. When it was announced that he was coming to join Saints there was an understandable buzz about the place that initially was fully justified but as time passed his effectiveness and finishing prowess gradually diminished with the inevitable result of him becoming a bit part player. Nevertheless he will be remembered more for the good times and as a decent and respectful human being with a big personality who never did anything to sully his own or the club's reputation. Better than a journeyman he has served the club well and I join many others who would like to thank him for his contribution to our success in the PL since promotion and wish him well for his future. We shouldn't be too complacent either, brilliant as they may be as individuals it will be a mighty challenge to get them playing together harmoniously in a system of play that will be alien to most of them.

Everyone has a wish list and an agent. No way will he be allowed to leave with our emphasis on developing youth players.

People have cried our for a bit of experience to be brought into the squad as well as raw youth. Careful what you wish for.

This is an euphemism for "he's bloody useless". Ralph fully understands how to pass the buck to a future manager knowing full well he won't be around here long enough to pick up the pieces or the blame. Another Ralphie signing who has turned out to be a Flopp, a familiar pattern developing here.

How could you say it would be a bargain if nobody has ever heard of him. I'd call it a speculative gamble and probably a waste of money.

Never believe rumours of course but let's say for once this one proves correct, it would be typical of the Austrian Flopp to write off a player before the poor sod had hardly had a chance to prove himself in the first team. One wonders if his judgements are made purely on footballing grounds or something much more personal and sinister like backroom divisions or inter-departmental strife. How is it that a next to useless layabout like Redmond seems incapable of doing anything wrong in Flopp's eyes yet Lyanco - according to these rumours - is on his way out already. It doesn't make any sense at all. From what I've seen of the guy he is well worth persisting with and brings a sorely lacking sense of adventure and excitement to the otherwise predictably dour and boring displays that the current Saints seem to specialise in.

I should forget it, apart from domestic arrangement issues, the fare being served up under Coco the Clown isn't worth watching

Sometimes you have to move (apparently) backwards in order to move forward again. JWP has done more or less all he can for Saints and if we can buy two half decent players with the money raised from his transfer how. can that not be a benefit in the longer term?. If everything stays the same through an abundance of caution then inevitably we will get the same old results.

I would sell him now while he still has market value and insist on cash so that we can buy a decent £25m attacking midfielder and proven £25m striker. I doubt we will get more than £50m for him. It's a win-win really, we get much needed reinforcements, JWP gets a bigger pay check and a new challenge for trophies which he ain't gonna get stuck down here. Realistically though I doubt he has the bottle to leave. He is a home lad by nature and will find it too hard emotionally to leave an area he has known all his life to settle in some outback third world county like Merseyside or Tyneside

Probably a blessing in disguise. He is not the 20 goal a season striker that our survival depends upon. Doubtful he is any better than Adams otherwise why would Chelsea sell him?

I saw him play at Fratton Park against Portsmouth in the late 50's. It was the only League 1 football on offer in these parts in those days with Saints plying their trade in Div 2 & 3.
