  1. Exactly, we did it with some but not all. Fuck me, took you a while to get there but well done.
  2. We didn’t with either Edozie or Aribo last season. Aribo obviously did in January but we wanted shot in the summer. Bella Kotchap similarly the season before that.
  3. Finances though innit? Not really disputing that West Ham will want to shift him (“probably” for the benefit of the anally retentive MLG) but if no one meets their demands then they may have no option. It’s not unrealistic or uncommon for that to happen. Anyway, bored of this, crack on, it’s really not a big deal or that complicated to understand
  4. Yeah, I guess it could be interpreted like that so for your benefit, it should probably be “it’s likely West Ham will want to shift him on”
  5. I love definitive posts like this when you have no idea what will actually happen. I’m sure West Ham will want to shift him on but whether they can is another matter. Odds are he probably will go but I wouldn’t be as certain as you are.
  6. He might end up staying at West Ham simply because no one will meet whatever valuation they put on him and/or come close to his wage demands. He’s only got a year left so he’ll probably be quite cheap but shifting players after relegation isn’t always easy.
  7. Hard to assess until we've seen him play. The fact that Sunderland didn't feel he could do a job in the premier league probably gives more of an indication of where his level is than any fan comment but I'm relatively happy if we do sign him and sounds like he would be a useful addition to the squad. Fan comments seem to be mixed and are often a useful barometer but we'd never have taken Larin on loan if we put too much store in them.
  8. Still not big enough for Italy to qualify though.
  9. Keep it, looks good, nothing wrong with it as it is and pretty much all new crests/badges look shite anyway and end up being refreshed to something else that also looks shite. Anyone that wants a new one can go do their own and get a tattoo of that on their arse if they're that bothered about it.
  10. Dan Neil seems like it could be a good bit of business. Looks like he can tackle, go past players and has a decent pass on him too. Particularly like that he can receive the ball on the half turn as well. If we've got central midfield options of Downes, Bragg, Neil and Jander then that's a proper competitive midfield for next season. Sort out the competition for the 10 position and a replacement for Stewart and we should be sorted. Obviously just a case of replacing any others that leave after that.
  11. Oh yeah, I missed that. This gentle comedy has me in stitches.
  12. Come to the wrong thread Chez, this one is only for bad puns I think.
  13. Well two have willingly given up their seats for him already so they're kind of getting used to the idea....
  14. Yeah, I saw Farage had called for one yesterday. TBF I don't really disagree with that either especially with Burnham promising "change". I think LD mentioned about going for a GE in the autumn and it would probably be the best call Burnham could make. It'll allow him to be a bit braver and get a proper mandate if he wins. He should be a better campaigner than Starmer ever was and his popularity probably won't get any higher than it is now. Could proper decimate the Tories though.
  15. On a slight tangent, have the tories come out and asked for a general election? It's the usual thing to do when the prime minister changes but I would have thought they would be terrified of a GE right now.
  16. Personally I'd have Cameron a lot further down the list. Wouldn't have had Brexit without him.
  17. I'm not sure Burnham is the darling of the left. As a minister he served under the New Labour banner and from recollection his last two attempts to become labour leader were hindered by that New Labour association. In fact, I don't even think that Starmer going is the result of anything particularly ideological within the labour party.
  18. Looking that way isn't it? Personally I'd like to see some sort of contest if only to give everyone a bit more of an idea of what Burnham is all about. Letting him sail into the job of prime minister without any kind of scrutiny isn't very sensible.
  19. Immigration is down, economy is showing signs of improvement and NHS waiting lists are down. Given what he's had to work with I don't think he's been disastrous. He's definitely made mistakes and his popularity isn't good by any stretch but I think that's more about his ability to relate and communicate rather than his record.
  20. It’s a bit simplistic to look at height and the team they play for only. Presume you wouldn’t have signed Kante from Caen either? I’ve no idea whether the lad is any good or not but 5ft 9 isn’t midget territory and from what I can tell he’s quite a stocky player with a decent amount of speed and stamina.
  21. The Friday night game (presuming they do one) will probably be West Ham vs one of the promoted teams. Can see us against Boro as a 12.30 Saturday game though.
  22. Someone did mention to me that we've been linked with Callum O'Hare again. Not sure where the link came from and it's probably bollocks but can see that being something we might be interested in.
  23. Good, he looks proper shit. I’d rather have Damion Downs.
  24. I've just renewed my ST. Was always going to renew if we were in the Championship anyway and I'm looking forward to a cracking season.
  25. Yep, that's where I am and I don't generally bother with pre-match, half time or post match analysis. Both ends of the analysis spectrum annoy me - you've got your Jamie Redknapp school of say what you see which is banal and at the opposite end the really geeky punditry which likes to pretend football is some kind of mysterious science. Understand football and unlock the secrets of the universe. Those sodding triangles - you can draw whatever bloody shapes you want, it's still passing to team mates and been like that since forever. On reflection the over analysis winds me up more.
