As my mother would say, "Don't be daft!" That's just a ridiculous comment.

Is there anything worse than a poster starting a thread with an opinion that they don't believe in - just to be on a wind-up? And then they come on later asking not to be patronised by someone who takes their opinion to be sincere. Jeez. As my mother would put it: "Say what you mean and mean what you say."

Denim jeans, I think, were worn originally mostly by cowboys. And then "blue-collar workers" favoured them, because of their comfort and durability. It was only much later - 50s and 60s that they became popular with young people.

Sad news. She was a dynamic performer. I saw her once in the early 80s at a blues club in Toronto - the Brunswick House on Bloor Street West. A great voice!
