Rubbish. It has nothing to do with nationality. Players qualify as homegrown in the English PL if the were trained by an English club for 3 years before the age of 21. Long was at Reading for 3 years from 2005,Davis was a Villa youth player. Cesc Fabregas qualified as homegrown. Armstrong was trained by Dundee Utd so does not qualify as homegrown.

McQueen is out for the season, ruptured ACL beginning of November, so would not have been named anyway, whether he is still with Boro or Saints. No idea whether he did return to Saints for rehab or stayed at Boro, suspect he would have come back to Saints.

We are not relying on Valery and Ramsay anyway, assuming he is fit Targett is perfectly capable of playing RWB, assuming Bertrand is still around and fit, and if its as a defensive RB in a 4 then Stephens, Bednarek and even Yoshida can play RB. Not if he isn't registered in the squad. We have Harry Lewis, Jack Rose, Alex Cull and Adam Parkes anyway. I think Lewis is already.considered the #3.
