  1. This 'wanting more time' is a fallacy. We are entitled to 14 days to answer a charge. The EFL hopes to expedite to get it done more quickly, but that was a hope. So far we've had what 4 days, if it takes until the end of the week to complete, that is not wanting more time it is merely using the time we are entitled to wisely and would still mean us responding more quickly than the rules suggest. We could take until the end of next week and still be within the time allowed under the regulations. We are not playing for time, that is the press view, we are merely doing due diligence in something that could have far reaching and damaging results. Unless the charges were completely spurious, the Club is doing the right thing in being thorough in their investigations.
  2. Seemed quite pally in the second half, sharing a laugh and a joke, suspect THB said something that was misconstrued by Ayling and they sorted it out between them.
  3. Boro claimed to have identified him from the Saints official website. Whether that is believable is of course open to debate
  4. the internal investigation to determine who it was, whether he was employee or former employee, whether it was authorised, and crucially whether any information was received and used by the Football Club, at any level. The legals need to investigate this, because presumably they were not directly involved.
  5. They are not 'doing their job'. What they are doing is what people these days think a sports journo should do. Gutter press mentality, no brains. A proper journo would have focused on things he knew could make a proper story. Also, you don't know a Saints staff member has been caught, you're just regurgitating the stuff the same gutter press wallies are feeding you.
  6. That was bloody awful. Larin having an absolute mare, not winning anything attack or defence, and on the odd occasion he does he gives it away immediately. Not all down to him of course, but we need to get hold of the ball and keep possession. Need Matsuki and Stewart on soon after HT.
  7. It's a hotel and golf 'complex'.
  8. Sting was born in Wallsend, more of a Geordie really.
  9. ... or maybe to put it another way has not progressed under Tonda.
  10. The slip was bad luck but wouldn't have happened if he had been better positioned. Can't see why you're being so super critical, these things happen, keep in context. Just being critical for the sake of it, imagine if Baz had been in goal.
  11. and? All keepers make mistakes at times, this one was a bit of a freak and bad luck with the slip, he put his hand up to acknowledge it, we won 3-1. I don't get the need for the Spanish Inquisition.
  12. What matters is that we win, then who knows what will happen. We need to win to get back to winning ways, going into the playoffs off the back of 3 (league) games not won fucks our confidence. You need to go into the play-offs on a high. Yes it does matter whether we come 4th or 5th but its not the most important thing. Everybody going on about it not mattering, rest a load of players, bollox. It matters. The only players I would not select are those with or carrying an injury, that is Larin, Azaz, Stephens, Matsuki. Everyone else (I think) is up for it or if they're not they should be.
  13. I thought the whole point of this thread is that on page 1, post 1, the answer to (1) and (2) is provided. (3) is just speculation.
  14. Larin went off last night with an ankle problem.
  15. Would be surprised if Larin starts due to the ankle problem he was having last night. Azaz was heavily strapped, was n ended yesterday but would be wise to leave him out.
  16. We need to be going all-out to win both games. Highest position possible and on a winning/unbeaten run (in the League). Control the controllables, where we end up who knows but win both games to give ourselves the best chance.
  17. If you'd read my post you might have realised that thinking it was a hamstring was plain daft. He was feeling his ankle, that's why I said 'ankle', he is also recovering from a non specific ankle injury, and he appeared to be indicating like 'its gone again' or 'same old problem'. Ankle problem doesn't mean a break, could be Achilles or just a sprain.
  18. Left leg, I think, calf or ankle, by the way he was acting. He was superb yesterday, it was probably a blessing in disguise that Manning was suspended, because Welington is a proper defender and that's what we needed yesterday. Since Welington got injured and Manning got back in the team he (Manning) has been great, but from an attacking perspective, his defensive capabilities have not often been stretched during that run.
  19. Well that was so much better than I dared expect, just for a minute (or maybe 3) the upset looked on, but that goal from Citeh was a worldie. Finn will get the plaudits for his worldie, but my MOTM was Caspar Jander, he was absolutely brilliant today, breaking up play, interceptions and great passes, he mad the Azaz goal, even though Leo and Matsuki touched it in between. But well played everyone you did us proud today and have Pep a lot to think about. Seems odd to have lost a game finally (though last Tuesday felt like a loss). 5 games to go, let's win them all. Yellows Yellows.
  20. Fell for Stephens more, not even on the bench.
  21. Shame we didn't draw Chelsea.
  22. Only if we get to the play-off final of course 😉
  23. No, couple of weeks ago.
  24. The point is we need them to drop points in another match, whether they drew or lost today, it makes no difference. In one match you can either drop 2 points or 3 (draw or lose), you can't drop one point in a match.
  25. The one extra point really makes no difference, 1 or 2 points better than us is of little consequences, whereas if they had won it would have been much more difficult. I think a draw was the best result for us.
