  1. It would depend if we paid on the way in or on the way out :-)
  2. Frankly would be astonished if club say anything before next Thursday. The club don't do announcements about injuries, frustrating but in general a good thing. That said there is a short piece on Sky that implies with the week off AL may actually not miss a game at all. Probably ****** though.
  3. I'm sure Frank's uncle would put in a good word for us.
  4. Your question was "who should ppl in Surrey support" (I assume ppl means people), so the answer Palace, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon was perfectly correct. since the clubs are (or at least historically were) in Surrey. If you read your own post you will understand the answer given.
  5. Yes, I recall we did this in 1976. We knew in January we were nailed on for a Wembley triumph.
  6. Crystal Palace, Charlton, AFC Wimbledon. I'm sure I've missed someone.
  7. Surely Fulham is nearer Surrey, as it is on the bank of the Thames (and of course ignoring non-PL teams that are actually in what was the County of Surrey).
  8. I know my place...
  9. Daughter wears her white kit (with Guly on the back) to every home game. Its a much better shirt than the red one, but it was a stupid idea for an away kit.
  10. Staying up is not success in my view, it is minimum return. Success would be somewhere between 11-15th place. Satisfaction personally if we are safe from relegation on final day of season.
  11. OK, think you are right, he can talk to foreign clubs from 1 January, but cannot talk to English Clubs until 1 month before his current contract expires.
  12. The Taylor Report itself stated that standing in itself was not intrinsically unsafe. It was the Government of the day (Tories/John Major) that decided no standing was to be allowed.
  13. Really not sure what people are expecting. Saints never put out information on injuries these days. The first we will probably know is when the team sheet is announced for the Sunderland game. Even then we will only know that he is (or is not) playing, and if he is not we will have no idea how long he will be out for. Information on Jack Cork's or Frazer Richardson's or even Paolo Gazzanigga's injuries was somewhat vague or non-existent, for AL it would be an even more closely guarded secret.
  14. 5 games (4 starts) for WBA and 2 sub appearances for Saints. Many of our players now have 15 or 16 PL starts even those who have never played in the PL before. So i think he probably has less PL experience than more than 50% of our squad. He was quite good last year in the Championship (I certainly would argue about him being outstanding) but that means diddly squat in the PL. Judging by how often he has been selected those who know don't rate him as a PL player. Goo honest hard-working player but the step up has probably been a step too far at least as a regular, reasonably good back up for odd games here and there perhaps.
  15. Classic post. The Northam stand will be 12 years old next year. I sit in the South/East corner by the way, or the Itching/Chapple corner to those of us who have been there a long time
  16. Great idea, playing with 10 men often galvanises teams into playing better, playing with Forte would be like playing with 10 men plus a statue One of those signings that I really will never understand.
  17. Excellent, it would save me time on here reading posts such as these
  18. As long as they are U18s that seems like a good idea.
  19. Just a very minor point but I don't think he is registered in our PL squad. So playing him would be a disaster as we would face a points deduction. Not to mention doing a Burley and playing a striker in a MF role. I can think of at least one more reason not to play him but I think that will do for now.
  20. Good idea, replace left sided midfielder with right sided striker who shows nothing playing for the u21s and is off to the African cup in the New Year.
  21. I think its more to do with how you fell rather than where you fell over. Which manor is SMS in?
  22. Who knows what state they will be in when we actually get to play them, may even have a different manager, maybe some different players, assuming it is played after the xfer window. The beauty of football, I'd actually rather play them somewhen else rather than right now when they seem to have found a little bit of form again, whereas if you had asked me a week ago I would probably have said just the opposite.
  23. So why are you worried? What good will worrying do, when this is something you can do nothing about. What would you do differently? If he is going to do a Saga, then there is no way of knowing until after the event. Control the controllables, quit worrying and have some fun.
  24. Players out of contract in the summer can talk to other clubs from the January preceding the end of the contract. Theo Walcott is in exactly the same position with Arsenal. I suspect what is happening is that Wenger is lining up a straight swap, Theo for Punch. Frankly I'm not completely sure who would be the winner any more, but suspect as Walcott is on £75k per week I guess Punch would be up for a little pay rise. Really not that surprised we have not extended Punch's contract yet, but I don't see anything to be concerned about. There is little evidence that anyone else would be in for him although I suspect Arry will be linked as he is with every Tom & **** even though it would be odd for Punch to go back to QPR. Given what many people thought of Punch even 6 months ago it is quite funny that now folks are fretting over whether we have signed the lad up or not.
  25. I don't think its too early to say he is a better defender than Bale. I would be surprised if he turns out to be anywhere near as good as Bale in his present playing position though. Bale was always a bit weak defensively, just fecking good going forward.
