  1. 2 posts from Calne in succession, spooky :-)
  2. Exactly as expected, even got me 10 points in the Prediction League. Anyone writing off our season because we lost to Everton has no idea about how Everton are playing this season and has not watched any of their games. If they play like they are all season they will be Top 4 at least (but I expect they will fall away when a few injuries hit). Its annoying to lose, but hardly expect anything else, has always been the same at Goodison for the last 40+ years. Even then to keep it to 3-1 without Morgan almost feels like a result (well perhaps not almost). Was Clyne subbed for any injury related reason? Hope not and just hope Morgan will be back for Sunday.
  3. Have to say so far this season I think Everton are better than Arsenal, I may not be happy with what is happening but realistic enough to know that this was always likely to be the way things would go today, and that was before I found out Morgan was not playing.
  4. Has anyone really said this season we are screwed without Yoshida, Ramirez, Lallana or Lambert (maybe we would be but we haven't really had that opportunity). But anyone who thinks we can do without our most influential player would be crazy.
  5. So you think J-Rod up front instead of Punch is the reason we are losing 3-1 (Morgan aside)?
  6. As expected, apart from first 20 minutes which was a shock, can't see why anyone is surprised. We were going to struggle before we lost Morgan, Everton are very very good this season (Leeds notwithstanding) and we have set up wrong for them, with no height in the middle and our best (in terms of pace) full back on the wrong side, no disrespect to Frazer who I like). Should have played Jos in the middle and Yosh as LB. But as I said we are buggered without Spiderman (and Cork) anyway.
  7. Its white, metal and has a net attached to stop Gaston hitting the fans behind it when he scores
  8. He plays in midfield He plays in the hole Gaston Ramirez has scored us a goal
  9. ****, no Morgan, huge loss. Clyne on the left, Richardson right, he will be skinned methinks. Could be a long afternoon with no real height to combat Fellaini. They are a tall side. COYS
  10. Still potentially affects us though as a club that can loan players out, I think that is what the OP was getting at. Lee Dickson for instance and possibly one or two others. In my view loans out are not as important as they were with a much more competitive "reserve" aka u21 league in place this season and set to be re-launched next.
  11. Agreed, but to be fair they appear not to be Neville's words, but the words of whoever was interviewing him/writing the article.
  12. 25 November
  13. BBC doesn't say Lee is long term, Adkins said it was very short term problem, and he can be seen clearly training on SaintsPlayer, no sign of a cast or anything. Mayuka picked up injury against Villa.
  14. This, signed for Toronto FC on 31 August but is not in the current "senior roster" (he is in the reserves). Seems unlikely he would now be on trial with the Skates, although if not good enough for MLS he should suit them fine. He is 35.
  15. Set pieces is when we will need Jos to mark (or at least be "in the zone" with) Fellaini. Otherwise it will primarily be Spiderman to keep him in check.
  16. Nope, he has been playing right back or right side of midfield most games this season, hence why I made the remark about our left side, Clyne would be wasted on the left, we desparately need him on the right (maybe we can clone him and play him on both sides, a Clyne clone would be good).
  17. Sorry, but playing Frazer at RB is a recipe for disaster, don't get me wrong I like him, but we need Clyne at RB to try to negate the threat from Baines & Pienaar. Their right side is not so much of a threat (Neville), hence why it would probably make sense to play Yosh at LB (where is can play) and use Jos in the middle to counter Fellaini. Otherwise side is what I would pick, actually we are getting close to having a side that picks itself.
  18. 1979 semi-final, maybe its an omen :-) Hope the weather is better this time.
  19. It could be. I almost feel proud of the fact that like Swansea, Reading and a few other enlightened clubs, my Club is not so anal as to worry about whether it has a fecking fans charter or not. More interested in whether we win a game of football on a Saturday afternoon.
  20. Did I? What label was that then? Can't see any label of any sort in my post.
  21. You do talk some twaddle, another of the deluded few who still think they are at primary school and that everyone is in their gang or the other gang. Who are these mythical people you seem to want to "keep in check". Just because some people do not want to have a pop at the club for any trivial reason. Who really gives a toss whether the club has a supporters charter on the web site or not. I don't recall ever looking for a club charter during the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or even the noughties, I just went along to watch the footy and support my team. Supporters charters, just another sign of the namby pamby nature of the game these days.
  22. My response specifically referred to "on loan".
  23. No real surprise to see who is raising this issue. Every negative that can be found will be found by certain posters.
  24. Dickson is in the squad, see http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/saints-submit-squad-list-354115.aspx I actually find it hard to believe that we would not play him because it might cost us £25k, maybe in past incarnations of Saints, but not now. Just don't think this is the reason. The simple fact is that he is not good enough, wasn't good enough in the Championship let alone the PL. Guess we just haven't found a club willing to take him on loan as yet, that will probably change once a few teams start to get a few injuries/suspensions.
