  1. Quote from BBC text commentary: "Daniel Fox has been the Scotland player dealt the hand of dealing with Gareth Bale for most of the night so far, and he actually is doing a pretty good job so far." Given that Scotland are 1-0 up Bale clearly hasn't taken anything to the cleaners today (except maybe his laundry), and he has been booked Quite amusing that England still only have 2 against the minnows of San Marino. I watched a complete knobhead on Sky earlier giving the odds for England winning anything up to 14-0, and 6-0 was very short odds. These people really have no idea about the dullness of international football where even a bunch of students and olive oil pressers can hold England to 0-0 for 35 minutes. I bet we would have more than 2 if SRL had been playing.
  2. Interesting question, they are averaging nearly 47000 so far this season, actually higher than their home average for the past 2 seasons. I don't think anyone can beat Rangers with that particular stick, 47000 to watch 2 Sunday League standard teams is quite good really. Still, not much else to do in Glasgow I suppose :-)
  3. In your case that is usually true Charmless. You are welcome to your opinion, but you just post things that are complete nonsense. And to brand Lallana's performance on Sunday as shocking really needs to be commented on. How can anyone with an ounce of sense really think his display was shocking. I read a lot of nonsense on here and post a lot of nonsense myself I'm sure, but really its like reading something a 2 year old would write sometimes, you really do wonder if some people actually watch the game or even follow football.
  4. No you're not the only one, I think some people hear/sing the Lallana/Messi song and actually believe it, not realising it is meant to be humourous. Lallana had a decent game on Sunday, not his best but certainly not as bad as ome strange people seem to be suggesting.
  5. No he wasn't. I can't believe anyone actually watched the game and comes away with the idea that Lallana was shocking. It is quite extraordinary. In fact he was actually pretty good (I watched the game live at SMS and then watched the full game again on Monday on Sky+). You do know which player Lallana is I assume, if you are not sure he wears 20 on his shirt. I might agree it was not his best game ever, but to say he was shocking is just unbelievable, he was partly responsible for their 2nd goal, thats all, he also supllied the corner that was converted for our first, he was the only creativity we had.
  6. I guess it depends which Horton Heath, if it is the one in Dorset then it may explain the language difficulties.
  7. If we'd kept both we would not have been able to bring in Boruc. We didn't ship people out to cut wages (imho) we had to make room in the squad and still leave us with an option or two to bring in an out of contract player - it is still a moot point whether we have one space left or not. In my view I would rather have kept Martin than Seaborne but Martin has not been any good at Palace so what do I know? We have 5 strikers at the moment, how would we have kept 6 happy?
  8. Not in the bottom 3 of the PL Not having to play the Skates or Brighton or Boscombe or Swindon or Rochdale or Barnsley or ... [fill in the blanks] We have found a new home for Tommy 4Past Ramirez looks class SRL has proved any doubters wrong We play exciting football again We have replaced Kelvin and now have 2 keepers who can kick the ball inside the throw-in lines U18s top of their league U21s 3rd in a proper reserve league
  9. except Wigan, the worst team we have played so far.
  10. Says more about you than Miltonroader unfortunately, if you actually know that to be a fact. Some people really do post stuff they would seriously regret saying in the real world.
  11. I guess he has a Korean name because he is of Korean descent :-) No need to feel bad about agreeing with me by the way.
  12. Maybe because you wouldn't recognise a good player if he tweeted you directly. I've also seen all the games he played last season, don't recall him missing any sitters, recall him scoring a fantastic goal, and showing a lot of vision and ability and lots of of skill and invention. His runs off the ball are excellent. Of course he is only a Japanese international player so he must be average. He still has to show what he can do in the PL, but the short glimpses of him playing alongside RL make me believe that they will form an exciting partnership and is exactly what we needed on Sunday as he seems more than capable of holding the ball up well, which no-one apart for SRL seems able to do. He also has (or had) lightning pace, something we seriously lack elsewhere. On top of that seems like a genuinely charming bloke (unlike you) and apparently at least partly responsible for Yoshi joining us - but then you probably think he is average as well (as a RB he is actually far worse than average but as a CB he is top class).
  13. Apparently in the US a dead leg is referred to as a "Charley Horse" - here is some scientific information about the condition and confirmation (on top of S-Clarke's below) that it can mean weeks on the sidelines. I see the physio room is now reporting 17th November for expected return. Clyne's injury was also a dead leg, but clearly not as serious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley_horse http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/health_and_fitness/4284462.stm Chung is not listed as injured by the way, and it has been clear from SaintsPlayer that he has been training for the last week or more. And anyone who seriously believes that Chung was signed to improve our financials by selling stuff in the Far East has clearly not seen him play or is a complete dumbo, he is a very talented player and we are seriously missing him at the moment for his abiliaty to hold the ball up and his off-the ball running which would assist Lambo.
  14. As an attacking force they were far far better than Wigan, but admit that is not saying very much. On a slightly different note having watched the match tonight (recorded on Sky) and after all the controversy about Suarez (and Bale) and their diving, Schwarzer should be awarded an Oscar for his dive which resulted in our 2nd goal being disallowed - no-one usually accuses keepers of diving but Tom Daly would have been proud of that effort.
  15. This is due to the Dolson Principle. People can be demoted to their level of incompetence rather than promoted. The higher the level of management the easier the job. The logical outcome of this would be to demote Adkins to the Physio job and put Cortese in as manager of the team. That was what Lowe tried to do so it must be a good idea - or did Lowe just promote people randomly?
  16. So he's quite good against Championship opposition and in the Reserve league. How does that translate to being good enough for the PL? Sadly it doesn't, he really struggled to impress last season, I was surprised we did not look to move him on during the summer. Still maybe with more coaching he can make it, we'll see.
  17. Would have been very odd to replace Lambert with Cork, at least Guly made sense and played well. I guess you were one of the thousands that streamed out before we scored given you think we lost.
  18. Matches last for 95 minutes, the fact that he may have had problems in the last 10 minutes or so doesn't mean he had a bad game. I thought he had a decent game yesterday, not his best but he was really getting stuck in and making a lot of decent runs, interceptions and tackles. His corner led to our 1st goal (struggling to remember the 2nd, although I was still in the ground unlike about 5000 of our so-called supporters).
  19. Even has experience of relegating us, must be ideal for the job. When will people learn that Arry is actually not very good. Even the ****s at the FA could see that, and they are none too bright. I wouldn't be averse to having Joe Jordan back to help out, but as for Saggy Face or his sidekick, no thank you very much indeed if its all the same to you. Even Hoddle would be preferable.
  20. Who is the 0.1% on here whose opinion is not worthless? I think we should know.
  21. They may have targeted Yoshi but actually made no difference. Yoshi was awful I agree, but neither Fulham goal was even indirectly caused by him.
  22. Totally agree, I read this earlier and wasn't able to reply at the time, but if someone genuinely thought Davis and Morgan were hopeless today then God help us. Clearly an understanding of football is not something you get in Kingsbridge. Thought Morgan was very good today, was a bit concerned knowing he had been injured, but he did not hold back. Davis too was much better today. The only other game where he looked this good was against Villa, coincidentally the other game where he did not have JWP alongside. Not knocking jWP but I think him and Davis are too similar and sort of get in each other's way. Great performance from Jose today, covering for an out of sorts Jos and an out of position Yoshi. Note to Adkins, never ever play Yoshi at RB again, for a player I really rate he was like a fish out of water, hopeless with his passes, terrible throw-ins - why oh why was Butters not on the bench, we seem to be overloaded with left footed players, and our only right sided cover was not available as a sub. Hope Frazer is OK, didn't look good when he went down. One criticism for Fonte - why the **** did you take your shirt of and get a booking, stupid, we will regret that when suspensions come along. Lambert looked well out of sorts today, I know how he felt, was feeling like I was hung over as well (though I wasn't). We would have got 3 points today I am sure if Gaston and Clyne had played. Fulham were quite poor, although they still showed more than Wigan. Still 2 home games unbeaten now.
  23. Is it worth getting a sub to MUTV to watch this, on now? Nah.
  24. Then Fernandez will sack him immediately after the game, he will go to Norwich and will be in his first game for them 11 days later.
  25. This. Quite honestly amazed we are selling as many tix as we are for unattractive games like Wigan and Fulham, esp when they are also on Sky. I said it before the season started, all clubs will find it harder to fill their grounds this season, not just Saints.
