Are they paying more than £7.5m per year, or more than LD Sports paid per year? That is the question. If its the latter it could be 50p and still be more than those shisters paid us (allegedly)

Sounds like it is already a done deal, indeed suggestions it may be made permanent before the end of the season (is that allowed?). Well worth it, two years would be as good as he would get anywhere, he still has the pace, yes his decision making is not great (was always the case) but he scares defenders to death, and he also puts in a good shift defensively and links up well with KWP when required. On top of that he wants to play for Saints. Guessing we will unload Long this summer, so not really any issue bringing Theo in permanently.
-
He has been poor since the Man U game, his confidence took a battering, it wouldn't be a bad thing to give him a break, dropping him for one bad game would be unreasonable. But I also like the idea of keeping the same team as won on Sunday.
-
Clearly isn't as this season has demonstrated, lessons learned, when you play two in the middle like we do you have to have cover, critical area. The chances of JWP going through another season are very low (just by the law of averages), and whether Jankewitz stays is clearly open to question.

Rubbish, Pelle and Tadic were both influenced to come because of Koeman as we're several others who joined in that period. If you think they would otherwise have joined you are more deluded than I imagined. And no, I won't provide you with evidence of my claim.

Would play Walcott every time over Minamino wh has been a total waste of time since his arrival, 2 goals excepted. Walcott makes things happen and is much better defensively , but his decision making (yesterday) was woeful, but it was his first game back. Time to bring Stephens in to replace Bednarek? I get that Salisu may be better but not sure he can partner Vestegaard without moving Vest out of his preferred left side position.

Great result, we really needed that, and overall it was a good performance. But we shouldn't ignore the fact we were shockingly bad in the first 20 minutes, not just the defensive errors but constantly giving the ball away, a better team than Burnley might have buried us. Oddly some of our best players were guilty, KWP and Stu dreadful. But after Peters got injured we were a different team (and so were they). So many golden opportunities wasted though, think a fair score would have been 5-3. Great opening goal from Stu (brilliant assist from Danny) and great 2nd form Danny. We tried our best to fuck it up in the last 10, some of Bednarek's defending was really poor, and Burnley should have had a pen for Bednarek's shirt pulling. Still, think the last 10 was partly down to nerves, now that we've got that one in the bag I think we will go on to have a decent run in.

Sounds like Minamino not a starter tomorrow, fatigued from the long trip to face the mighty Mongolia. Couple of other internationals not good either, Armstrong maybe.
-
Now we know what happened to Vokins (though it became fairly obvious before it came out officially)m anyone any idea what has happened to Valery at Brum? Hasn't been in a squad now for a few games, and isn't listed as injured or sus[pended. He did make some strange comments a while back about the team needing to make more effort, and hasn't been seen since, coincidence?
-
Yes, resting him because he has a calf problem, clearly not in a position to have trained yet. He might well be OK for Sunday, but he clearly wasn't sent home because of some arrangement that he wouldn't play, some people do come up with some nonsense. There was no need to send him home if he didn't have a problem, not like it was an overseas game, he could have stayed with the squad at Wembley and just sat on the bench.
-
So that was a load of rubbish then, calf problem, not trained. Cursed internationals.
-
Just a small point but it was 2010, that's 11 years ago. Where is MLG when you need him.
-
Some suggestions Vokins may have been one of the players who tested positive for Covid. Otherwise its odd that he hasn't even been in the squad since he had a good game.
-
Can't think why anyone would think he was cup-tied, he has been with us all season. Maybe getting mixed up with Minamino.

But your point about Chelsea hoovering up talent makes no sense when you consider us being worse than Burton Albion. It might well mean we will not be able to compete with Chelsea or Man City but why are Burton able to be better than us? Do you think that the top teams only take the talent from Southampton? We have a Level 4 Academy, which gives us much more freedom and ability to recruit players, I'm not sure what level BA are but I know it's not the top level like us. The Chelsea argument of course has an effect but it doesn't really mean much outside of competing against the top clubs. Out Academy is crap and has been for a few years now, we lost our way (after Georges Prost) and lived on the reputation of a few successes in a couple of key areas (left backs and CMs), when was the last time we developed a top goalkeeper, a central striker, a central defender, even a RB? My view anyway is that the whole Academy system is broken and does not work for the PL. It needs to be fundamentally changed, young players should be playing competitive football from 17/18 not floundering around in u23 leagues played at training grounds. I think it would be better to go down the B team route as in Spain and Germany.

Looks like Theo is going to be back before Danny
-
So how is that relevant to being worse than Burton Albion?
-
A significant part of our best ever team, only saw him play a few times (for us), but he was majestic, his play reminded me of Ossie when he was with us, much standing around and spraying glorious passes to others. A true character. I don't get this "working man's George Best", don't know where that has come from, George Best was surely the working man's George Best. RIP Elvis.

And you know that because? If they have that is a flagrant breach of the rules (tapping up is still a breach of the rules despite what Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool think). They may have spoken to his agent, and his agent may have spoken to Danny, but that's not the same thing. His agent may be touting him to all other clubs but again that is not the same thing. The report is rubbish, and its not even current, it was reported some time ago in The Athletic. Do you honestly believe Man City are trying to decide whether to go for Erling Haaland or Danny Ings.
-
They might be better getting Marianne Spacey to coach the youth. She's not got much to do with the Women, as their league season has been terminated again I believe.
-
Old news, this was out there a few weeks ago. City trying to decide between Erling Haaland and Danny Ings, yeah right. Some rubbish cooked up by the media these days and people lap it up.

which was bigger than Highbury. The pitch at The Dell wasn't as small as some others, but the closeness of the terraces made it seem smaller than it was.
-
Why, is it the Final tomorrow? Thought it was just the 6th Round.

I think I would go as far as to say that it is unlikely that you will ever see a team from outside the top flight win the FA Cup again, unless there is some dramatic change in the way football in this country is organised or there is some freak set of circumstances. The gulf between the PL and Championship these days is far bigger than it was in the 1970/80s.
