He's back anyway, surprisingly, training pictures today. Must have flown out after the game without staying overnight. Looks a bit sleepy ?

Why is it an either/or? Do you seriously think our awful throwins are due to our data analysts? Yes we need some decent coaches instead of our existing set up, especially our 2 ex keepers, but getting rid of the analytic side won't help that. We seem to have gone backwards sinc eRohl left, and guess what his forte was?

Not done much long haul travel I assume. Agree not very sensible going back to Japan, Greta would have a fit, but it's the reality of how these international trips work. I don't know for sure that's the case here but it could be. Flight to UK would actually be with Turkish with stop in Ankara, rather than Dubai. 11.50 hours. So assuming he left today he should be back in UK tomorrow (Thursday), Friday recovery, no training before match on Saturday. Pretty sure Ralph will see that as perfect excuse to not select him. Still even a jet lagged Yoshida would be a better bet than Vestegaard or Danso, who appear jet lagged even when they're not.

[quote=Lighthouse;2767959 Really? Is three days not enough to recover from a few hours in business class, watching movies on demand with a glass of gin? These guys should try being long-haul cabin crew. Ralph doesn't seem to like picking Yoshida when he is fully fit. 2 days to get back from Tajikistan (are there even direct flights to the UK, most likely he flies back to Japan with his team mates?) and then no training before the game and I would guess Ralph would probably use the excuse not to play him. Long-haul cabin crew are used to this, not the same for passengers, even regular ones, and rest assured being in Business Class makes sod all difference. If he's fit then great, he would be my first choice CB, but I have doubts.

Not convinced Yoshida will be ready, just played in Tajikistan. Wouldn't have Danso anywhere near the team (yet). JWP is pointless.
-
Danso and Vestegaard, you're having a laugh (I hope). Wolves would run rings (slowly) round them.

His name is HARLEY (not Harvey) Good work by the lad to try to build a pro career. The Academy system in this country really doesn't work and is not fit for purpose. Too many young players are lost to the game because they don't make it into the top level (the PL), which is very difficult to break into (partly but not entirely due to the large number of foreign players). Most of these players could forge a good career in the Championship or L1/L2 if they were handled properly and given good advice. Many now seeing that going abroad is a good option and playing in decent leagues in Europe (they will find it harder when free movement ends when we eventually leave the EU). The article is a bit odd (as so many are these days), it was published this month yet doesn't cover the fact that Harley (not Harvey) is now playing in the Iceland top division for Vikingur Olafsvik, who are mid table and he is scoring regularly (for a winger). He joined them in February, seems odd not to mention this, guess it must have been written a while back before being published.

Fecking hope it's not true, it was Kat that got us into this mess in the first place.

No, not forgetting Longy at all. His speed is a bit like the JWP myth, you know the one about him being the greatest set piece taker since, oh I don't know, since JWP. A myth. Suppose Michael O'Bafemi is the nearest we have and yet I think his muscle bulk has diminished his speed somewhat.
-
Who do you suggest. From what I've seen we do not have a 'speed merchant'. We don't seem to have anyone who can run quite fast.
-
He is, but he isn't the goalkeeping coach. Seems to have turned his talents to set pieces. We used to be good at them.
-
Gunn isn't the problem. Neither is he the solution. It's down to organisation, or lack of, and that I'm afraid is down to the management (team). The whole defensive set up from the midfield back is a shambles. Gunn's calamity today was down to awful play by Ward Prowse.
-
Really does make you wonder whether Danny Rohl leaving was a bigger deal. Ralph just doesn't seem to have any idea this season, unable to motivate the players who look lethargic and unfit. Complete shambles in defence. Nothing creative in MF and awful up front. Is Ralph's first starting season really any different to Hughes?
-
Reckon we would lose every one, that's what we do at home.
-
Surprised no one has mentioned Puel taking over Les Saints.
-
Tweeted as well. Probably a put up job, clearly not really injured. All a cover up.

Was no one at the game who would have seen Cedric warming up? Also perhaps noticed him leaving the pitch. Obviously not many on here go to games, but surely someone was there. Maybe supporters are too far away from the players at the New White Hart Lane or whatever its called to be able to see Cedric, he is quite small to be fair. What about the bloke that does the vlog or whatever, surely he has video evidence.

It wasn't Cedric's fault. No one was marking a player. That's how zonal marking works. The fault in the end is with Ralph for coaching the defence to zonal mark.
-
Wasn't on the bench Friday, sat in the stands with Djenepo.
-
Think Ralph needs some help, especially in the defensive area. We really don't seem to have any defence minded coaches. Kitzbichler is not defence minded, don't think Fleming is either. He needs to sort out defensive set ups, cut out zonal marking would be a start. Our players abilities are limited but you can at least organise them properly. Also think RH is not the best man manager, not seeing eye to eye with decent players meaning Bertrand and Yoshida being left out is ridiculous.
-
Well, Vestegaard and Danso, complete liabilities. How the hell has it come to this? Our defence is a complete and utter shambles and we are toothless up front. Still, its OK cos we are playing the Skates on Tuesday. To be honest, play like this and the Skates will stuff us.
-
Don't doubt it costs a bit, but 60k per month, think you're having a laugh. Why would anyone pay that? Surely Matt could get mate's rates/employee discount. Seems a hell of a lot to listen to watch Scousers TV.
-
Possibly, Cedric was certainly somewhere round there yesterday, Twitter post.
