I think AP has a set criteria for purchases of players eg ability, age etc thats why we have bought the players we have - there are long term plans. If thats the case then I suspect that AP will have identified who he wants and will get them but that could be hampered by the fact that we have 2 strikers that want to leave who are both high wage earners (as alluded to by Dubai Phil). This guy may or may not fullfill APs exact requirements but by the lokk of thing he will do the job and if he plays well may just get a contract offer. Contrary to some beliefs I beleive AP knows what hes doing he can't help the fact that the best part of his squad just have no desire, determination or bravery.

Watching a game live is far better than hearing it on the radio or even watching on TV - the perspective is different. Listening to it on the radio doesn't give you that (but you might be able to form a view) as you are also at the whim of the commentator - I was listening to it on radio wiltshire and TBH the commentators didn't even know some of our teams names but could tell you the inside leg measurement of Swindons team. So I felt that the commentary was biased which obviously gives me a different slant on the game. As to DD - he can say what he likes on here and elsewhere - his points are valid but to a lesser extent than someone who has been to watch the game (mind you how many times have you disagreed with a mate that was at the same match as you?)

Thats the bit that I find most amazing TBH. I see no desire or determination and lets not even start on about being brave. Cometh the hour cometh the man only prob is that there isn't a man amongst 'em. So they hide.

Why is it the same with every manager - our expectations are higher than is acheived. Personally I think we have to give it time. Whats the alternative - get rid of every manager unless they win at least 3 on the bounce?

I've been saying it for ages - our MF acts as another line of defence ie almost playing in the same space - that leaves the CF's miles adrift. I also see no determination from our MF which TBH is pathetic.

I'll go with a mixture of the deadline for transfers and the 19th of Sept to be on Zero points. If no more transfers & by the 19th were say still on minus 3 then not even Corporal Jones will stop me from panicking.

Yawn - all good points but I think we are all aware of our failings - not sure I need to keep seeing them tho.
