Redecorating. The skirting boards are covered in about 30 years of chipped, repainted (badly) **** paint. Want to get them back to wood (or as close as I can) and paint with hard-wearing gloss or satin (don't care which - as long as it will last). Would rather strip chemically: heat guns are a pain in the arse. Looking for advice on: Which stripper to use Which paint to finish with What'd reckon?

Marvin Sordell? Weren't we meant to be after him for around £4M? Next great English striker hope and all that. Hmmmmm...

Sir Alex. Man is a beast.

Not convinced there would be anything in this; Swiss chairman, Argentine manager, signing players from Scotland?! Intrigued by one of the links below though: The 25 Hottest Halloween Costumes in Sport.

I wear my various Saints shirts every day: I sleep in them. Without pants. And I look damn fine too.

In Mafia films the big boss always carries on business even when he's inside. This chancer is simply showing unprofessional-ism: the Don needs to tell him to get with the programme.

Appreciate the info - glad you shared. Can you share more detail on how you believe he will be a massive part of the defensive paring next season? Did a member of staff say "Forren is going to be a massive part of our defensive pairing next season" or are you making an assumption having seen him play in a practice match alongside Maya? Genuine question this - I'm not being an arse.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Suhari replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
We had an off day today; collectively and individually. WBA showed why they are a top 8 team; some class players, a clear gameplan - pace, movement, speed of thought. I see no value in finger pointing or wrist slitting. First loss in seven ain't too bad. We won't go down, but I really don't want us to peter out into mid-table dullness. Clearly shows some blatant weaknesses in the squad though, which can only be a good thing for MP longer term. Need to nail down new signings early - going to be a very interesting window. Oh yeah........to the wrist-slitters, doom-merchants and trolls - grow up FFS. -
Hard to disagree with the list - but think ther is only 13 there?! Can't see Mayuka going though, and would love Lee to be given another chance: his movement in front of Gaston...... (I know, I know....)

He's not the first manager we've had who couldn't speak English. WGS Saggychops Burley

Flushed a spider down the toilet this morning. Not technically an insect I realise. Should I have started a new thread?

Didn't we have a player a few years ago who caused nation-wide debates on his abilities? For some, one of the most naturally talented players to ever grace the game, with such skill and vision that we were happy to accept any of his shortcomings just for the one moment of magic; for others a fat, lazy Channel Islander who couldn't run, head, tackle and had zero ambition. Now I am not putting Gaston into the LeTiss bracket yet....but he could well be. We should give him our full backing, cheer the moments of class and accept the things that don't come off - if he doesn't try it, it won't happen! The issue here seems to be that he cost a lot, and hasn't (yet) provided an equivalent return. Where is the spite towards Mayuka, Forren of Gazza. Gaston will become a club legend.

Happy with that team. Tenacity from Davis, class from Gaston, pace and directness from JRod. So where's Forren btw?
-
...but he gets to lead the team out in the JPT at Wembley. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21918727

Its good. Been playing it for a week or so and it's very addictive. Hide, loot, survive, run from zombies, get some decent kit.......get shot by some other **** who's been doing the same. But revenge is great!

Yep. A failed manager,a Skate, an alchy anda **** pundit. Do we give a **** what he says?

Never watched this. Looking forward to it. -
We played well today - though we have done for the last few games. Difference for me today was twofold..... Liverpool didn't park the bus, so there was more space in the final third; we had better movement and quicker passing in the final third than I have seen from us for a while. Big shout to Morgan who was excellent, Lallana who really could become a very good player, and J-Rod...gives us something we don't really have elsewhere: direct running and willingness to pull the trigger early. Could have been 5 or 6 too! COYRs.
-
JRod. Class.
-
Precisely. In some ways this will be a 'easier' game than QPR.....more open, more suited to our pressing and more likely that we will create chances, as opposed to camping in their final third facing a parked bus. We're going to concede though. I'm predicting a thrilling 3-2 for Saints, with Suarez moaning and falling over every 5 minutes.

Damn right. Morgan was mentioned on another post......I seem to remember some comments only a few seasons ago about the stupidity of Lowe to pay so much for a young player, who wasn't immediately delivering. Hmmmmm........ Gaston will be very good for us.
