Based on his time with us before I think he'd excel in RussBall. His movement, touch, speed of thought and finishing would see to that. BUT.....how much of that does he retain now?

Signing average prem players, for free, in our first season back is a pretty decent approach. I'd be VERY happy with us being an average prem team this season!

Hopefully we bring in a 'starting' number 9. I assume we will. I'm not a fan of Che - his finishing is shit. Yes, hold up play and 'support striker' stuff is decent, but don't see that as enough to be a premier league starter. His primary job is to score. That said, it does make sense to keep him, on a sensible wage. Avoids the need for an additional signing. Guessing Mara will go (on loan at least); Stewart is something of an unknown entity; AA will presumably be on the right.

He did often slow things down, so I see what you mean. Very frustrating at times. However, in a RussBall team, playing in the Smallbone/Aribo role, he would offer more than under the latter stages of his time with us.
