Schneiderlin was our second best player behind lambert IMO, but I agree he wasn't anything too special... 7/10 performance compared to most other players 6/10. Both him and lambert were in league 1 team of the day in news of the world.

Yep, when Utaka got subbed off it zooms in on the itchen north and you can see me for a few seconds or so. Watching the goals back didn't really change my opinion of the game... thought it was crap defending at the time and saw nothing to change that view.

Pace and long throw are two standout attributes that Antonio posesses. I can't think of too many other players in our squad where I could name them having two standout attributes. It doesn't matter that his final ball was ****, as his pace completely unsettled their defence and put them under serious pressure. Pressure which eventually lead to a deserved goal, which he took well. Hardly embarrasing performance. He may be a little hit and miss at times, but he has potential at least.

Don't remember Vignal scoring a belter...only a floated free kick which richard stearman glanced into his own net in fa cup. Beattie's against spurs was quality, remember him scoring a peach of a free kick at stamford bridge aswell.

Agreed, but you could have been to every game this season and still miss out, as if more than 800 apply they are picking out of a hat.

I'm sure if Pardew feels we need someone then he already has ideas in mind and is working on them. It is too late to sign anyone before tomorrows game, and anyone we do sign will probably be cup tied for JPT and likelier for the FA cup game vs Ipswich, therefore he has until 27th vs Brentford to get someone in if he feels it's neccessary. As it is, a lot of people on here will be dissapointed come the end of the window as they are taking rumours as gospel and there is a lot of expectation to get players like Stock, Danns in, when Pardew might not even be interested... we've already had Ward deal fall through.

Agreed definitely need 1 midfielder and 1 striker. With Connolly seemingly 50/50 to play most games, rather than 100% and a congested fixture schedule ahead, a striker is a must.

Rumours are generally word of mouth and what other media forms have been reporting... so what better place to get word of mouth rumours - a forum where saints fans talk about saints. Anyway half the rumours on here started in papers anyway; Croydon echo for example. Dunno how you can slag this article off.
