Nope not really just last 5 years gone mad was reading how much MLT earnt and nowhere near today. Ok lot more money in game today and rewards higher but do you think a wage cap would be better for everyone except agents? I am not disputing that Zaha hasn't earnt his new contract just maybe trying to comment on the overall subject of footballers wages.

Why? he played well yesterday so why shouldnt he be near the 18? What has Bednarek done thats put him in the 18 - he was appalling along with everyone else against Borussia? Bednarek has just done the basics - has no pace, no distribution, can't read it well enough see Borussia first goal so what makes him an autoimatic choice? Could you play Hoedt, Vestergaard and Bednarek together with no pace at all? Don't get me wrong I am not Stephens greatest fan he falls asleep at times and ball watches but to say nowhere near the 18 is wrong when we are not blessed with much else but he does offer more than others do.

Rubbish what did he do wrong yesterday? Try watching how he covered the other defenders - used his pace to good effect something we dont have in abundance in defence. His distribution is light years above Hoedt and Bednarek.

Well said..I read some reports on here and wonder if some go to the game - no matter how some play they slag them off with pre-conceived opinion on a player - Romeu for example - yesterday we were over run yet he blocked - broke it up - got in the way as a shield yet was apparently rubbish despite the fact we had no outlet when we did have the ball. When we had a 4 sometimes 5 to cover the space we couldnt do with 3 he played even better. Stephens is another didn't put a foot wrong yesterday in either position. Redmond had the best game I have seen him have for Saints some of his runs were great and that through ball was superb. Hoedt is now the whipping boy yet yesterday didnt do too much wrong - he is no VVD but he did ok clean sheet against a tough forward line. I applaud Dyche for not settling and pushing 2 up front - played some good stuff first half but couldnt cope with our change. Moi loves a tackle!
