Good post but we are always 2 or 3 away. This formation sucks and we don't have the players for it so unless Puel gets in the players he is not going to last long unless he relents. Funny thing is last year we did but what really concerns me right from the Espanyol friendly is the players look unhappy and uncomfortable. I have seen them arguing amongst each other in games now - not many smiles. We are not getting the best out of the players like Long, Austin or poor Redmond. We all hope so just wish they would get on with it. I like what we have done so far Pied maybe a bit underwhelmed but he is Telfer2. I am just concerned a couple of injuries away from being in deep trouble defensively and up front for all games extra we have. If our u23 were stronger then wouldn't be so concerned. I believe they also have new owners who lumped in some funds. I understand your frustration but you only have to look at West Ham new buy to see how spending all we have on one player is a risk. I think it's hard not to be - not many had heard of Puel and when Pellegrini was linked it was a disappointment to me when overlooked. I understand why but if we wanted a training ground manager put someone in with him like Rowett. Once again we lose good players and replaced by promising ones and fed ridiculous PR and put unnecessary pressure on young shoulders. I watched every preseason game in Holland and at SMS and the players looked uncertain and not playing to strengths. Having said all that the club are in credit and deserve until window closes to strengthen where we are weak. We all want Puel to succeed.

Because I don't think they do. Hojberg proves there are good players out there. Just season has started and the usual exodus has left us weaker at the moment with no indication of incomings to cover weak positions or injury cover.
