  1. Statistically is it any better if the 3rd time is another team ;-) ????????
  2. Not well but getting some good 1-0 wins, we were well organsided. A lot were upset thats true because he did an Ok job and I didn't want him to go at that time. I didn't protest last time but also didn't want him back as we had better options...problem was Lowe did his usual and went for the cheap option. I don't think he is right now either as again for me better option in Mowbray, Adkins, Curbishley.
  3. Sorry why? based on a short period of time here where he acted like a prize **** when he left? No problem with him moving on to his spiritual home but the way he conducted himself does. He was such a success at Spurs and also did so well at Wolves. In fact he has such a great managerial record as well doesn't he ....all those trophies........d'oh! As a player manager Chelsea * FA Cup runner-up: 1994 [edit] As a manager Tottenham Hotspur * Worthington Cup runner-up: 2001–02
  4. So we employ someone who hasnt been involved as a manager since before 2005??
  5. I must admit SaintChristine post now has me even more worried we will appoint Wilkins!!!! Coupled with Hammonds interview I just hope this is all bull.
  6. Dean Wilkins....for the love of god lets hope we have a chairman that doesn't make the same mistake the last few idiots did!! Gray Wigley then we do the same under the next lot Dodd/Gorman then onto Wotte after JP!
  7. No that makes sense - Cork has been brilliant for the youngsters this season its just I want us to continue playing the youngsters like Woods and Briggs .
  8. Did I read somewhere we were signing Arnie Sidebottom next season???? Will that not hinder Woods progress?
  9. Plus he is a fellow ugly git so knows he won't be able to knob any players wife!!!
  10. I understand fully why some people feel the way you do and for that reason, personally I don't want him back because I think he is a crap man manager and not what we need and his time at Spurs and Wolves proved that.
  11. well....which was exactly what? He won what? Can you show me his achievements as a manager since he left us and before that holds certain members on here to bleat on and on for 6 years? Here are his stats: As a player manager Chelsea * FA Cup runner-up: 1994 [edit] As a manager Tottenham Hotspur * Worthington Cup runner-up: 2001–02 So nothing apart from keeping us up.....so did many other managers that dont have nutjobs harping on at every opportunity.
  12. Why? Have you compared the two? I am not saying I would be happy with Brown but he did really well at Hull until he hit the self destruct button. Hart on the other hand has done nothing anywhere to appoint him as anything other than BBC man.
  13. I think the decision to stick with the likes of Vince ahead of Peiterson has been the best one made this season at Hampshire.
  14. Have you heard about KP rant on twitter??? Dont think he will get picked for Pakistan T20 and apparently has signed for Surrey.
  15. 1256: Just breaking away from transfer news for a brief moment or two. According to Sky Sports, Southampton are looking to appoint Paul Hart as their new manager. Remember, Saints, who won 4-0 on Saturday, sacked Alan Pardew on Monday. On BBC live transfer news
  16. Gosh hindsight is great isn't it!!! Not yet but if the rumour about Hart is true....yes I will change my mind!! 17. I posted this elsewhere but your post rings very true....a mates nipper is at the academy - ALL wingers have been told to keep cutting inside and not go outside. All the teams have to play the same way as I said earlier I like that bit but to keep playing narrow at home against teams shutting up shop will never work. Perhaps that was what some of the new staff didn't like but I was also told that Liebherr put great faith in our academy long term and wanted ust to produce our own and to keep buying was unsustainable financially. No-one with any sense can doubt that and it was one of the things I applauded loveable old rosey cheeks for...its just that you cant build the whole team with them!
  18. Oh God not Alain Perrin.....another ex Pompey agent ;-)
  19. Ince??? Italian connection as well
  20. I was at a party last night with a parent of one of the academy lads and all the teams have been told to play narrow. The wide men have been told to keep cutting inside and not to keep going wide outside. Whilst I like the idea that all the teams play the same way - it goes against everything I love in wing play where getting to the byeline and outside and cutting it back is the way I think is the answer to packed defences.
  21. Doesn't make a difference who comes here....they will be gone within 6 months when we haven't won...the league, FA Cup, JPT and qualified for Europe!!! My money is on Zola.
  22. Absolutely mental!!!!!
  23. I noticed also the wording...."that ownership of Southampton Football Club shall remain solely within Markus' family's personal interests" so nothing to do with Mali group is my interpretation.
  24. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2128238,00.html As we were then - good news I believe.
  25. Yep he now is the only other one on ignore I have on here ...don't normally do that as I believe everyone is entitled to post and express themselves but years of posting the same untruth has worn me down.
